“If you’ve never been to D Spot Dessert Cafe, you’re genuinely missing out on one of Edmonton’s most memorable food experiences. The moment you walk in, the bright, upbeat decor and the smell of chocolate set the tone for a relaxed night out with friends.

The menu is the first thing that hits you. It’s huge—basically a fifteen‑page book stacked with wild desserts and a surprisingly solid lineup of savory dishes. Everything looks so good that choosing what to order becomes the hardest part of the visit. The items are a bit on the pricey side, but you can tell immediately that you’re paying for a full experience, not just a plate of food.

When the food arrived, it absolutely delivered. We started with the loaded nachos, which were ridiculous in the best way: a massive pile with enough toppings and melted cheese that every bite stayed interesting all the way to the bottom.

Dessert was where things really took off. I had the milk cake with caramel pearls and toffee bits, and it was fantastic—soft, rich, and just the right amount of crunch. My friends were equally locked in on their picks: the Perfect Pair skillet cookie, a giant warm chocolate chip cookie drenched in Lotus cookie butter and crumble with vanilla ice cream, and a red velvet cheesecake layering vanilla cheesecake with dense red velvet cake. The skillet cookie was such a hit that my buddy basically made it his mission to finish it, even though every bite pushed him further past whatever diet he thought he was on. He was determined, and watching him fight through it was half the entertainment.

The portions are huge, so we ended up taking leftovers home, and the late‑night snack round was just as good. Between the atmosphere, the menu size, the quality, and the overall experience, the night was a win. It’s easily one of the best spots in Edmonton for a group hangout or a late‑night dessert run, and we’ll definitely be back.“

We were greeted by TikToker Sunshine Melody, got to try some new menu items, and she nearly nailed a timer game — just 0.01 seconds off! “At the st. Catharine’s location at the Pen Center. I’m here with my daughter. Had the wings and fries and the dessert Divide and conquer Belgian Waffle! The service is amazing but it’s a large place so we did approach the counter right away. It’s beautiful and clean. So many delicious things on the menu to choose! I highly recommend it!“

“A nice employee gave my sister the last brownie batter cookie that he saved for himself, as me and my sister came 2 minutes before closing. It was very sweet, his name started with the letter J but I forgot it. He was a nice Indian man and he’s the manager of the Namao location.

“It was our first time visiting Flurries Cafe, and we had such a great experience! The employees were so nice, friendly, and welcoming. 😊 The place was clean and tidy, the atmosphere was great, and the music playing in the background was perfect. 🎶✨

We ordered the large Tiramisu Bingsoo, and it was absolutely amazing! 🤤 When the employee brought it to our table, she gave us four spoons, even though we didn’t ask for them. We thought that was such a thoughtful and nice touch. 🥄❤

“I grew up with Pa Peterson’s and went back purely for nostalgias sake. Totally worth it. I got the lunch box (cheeseburger with fries and gravy and a drink) and it was like stepping back in time. They’ve added things to the menu (spicy Korean burger) that if I was in town longer I’d go back and try. You get fast service, good food, at an incredibly affordable price. This place is a gem that must be protected at all costs.“

“We had a wonderful evening with the maître, D Prasad and our waiter William. We enjoyed prime rib that was cooked to perfection and enjoyed a table side Caesar salad salad. They provided a complementary dessert when we experienced parking struggles. They also offered us additional parking solutions for future visits. A very pleasant evening.“
