“So a neighbor of mine and I were in town at Alberta battery, and we wanted something to eat so we just drove around the corner and we saw this Korean restaurant. Restaurant. We decided to try it out, and boy I am so happy that we did. The waitress ,Sunju kong, was amazing at her job. She's so friendly and talkative and explain the recipes to us and the different items they had for lunch. She gave us a recommendation and that's what we chose, and we said that we would come back and try the spicy one next. It was such an enjoyable time, seeing as how neither of us had had Korean food before. Thank you so much!

“Some of the best chicken fried rice had. While living in this area for 5 years, this is a go to for myself. The lady behind the counter is very nice, to the point where she knows my order coming in. “The bulgogi rice dish here has been one of my all time comfort foods for a whole decade! I love it so much that I’ve never had the desire to order anything else as my main. Sometimes I get a green onion cake to share, and it’s super yummy as well!

I really appreciate how reliable and consistent Steel Wheels has been. Over the years, the portion sizes, quality, and service has always remained the same. Maybe the cost has gone up but I think that’s most things in the world rn.

If you want to experience what a food joint around Seoul’s university area is like, then this is the place. The layout of booths, and aesthetic is nearly indistinguishable to the tourist friendly places in and around Hongdae.

It does get extremely busy at times but that’s apart of its charm. Even when there is a line out the door, the staff are always remain courteous and on top of things. Overall they seem like very genuine people too.

The only complaint I have, that isn’t really my own, is that the tofu meal is a bit misleading , which can cause some issues for people who don’t eat meat. I knew someone who ordered it thinking it wouldn’t have meat, but it did and he got quite sick because of it (he can’t digest meat). However he did rave about how good it was when he was eating it haha. He ordered it again but asked for no meat and all was well that time, but still, it may be worth it to have a clear disclaimer on the menu.

An added bonus for this place would be to collaborate with a bingsu truck in the summertime :) !!“

“I’ve been here 3 times within 1.5 month because I love the Katsu as it is always fresh and crisp. The restaurant owner was very nice and her crews also very friendly. Today I tried the chicken instead of pork and it was very delicious too. You can have 1 time refill on the salad and soup that is so great. Worth your dollars and they also have buckwheat noodles that fits the summer weather to cool your off from the heat. Will keep visiting 👍🏻“

“My wife and I have come here several times in the past and today we came here with our 1 month old child. The staff were amazing, they placed us in a quieter section of the restaurant and took excellent care of us. The food here is always delicious, especially the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk! Today we also enjoyed the tteokbokki and kkanpunggi, it was wonderful and we will be back again!“

“The food is delicious and packed with flavour. Must try the chicken bites and the corn dogs! Some days they have specials so keep an eye out. I’ve been going to this location and never had issues.

However the last time I went, the service wasnt great, the cashier was rude and unprofessional.

When I went up to the counter to pay, the server told me I had to pick the 15% tips because my party was 6 people, which was fine except we did not receive the service this tips deserves. Nobody checked on us even once regarding the food quality, if they did we would have told them there was a piece of hair in our cold noodles. Several of our requests were also forgotten as well. The food was great, the service fell through today.“

“definitely me and my mom’s go-to place whenever we’re craving Korean food. The food is always so good — the meat is tender, the soup is super tasty, and the prices are just right for the quality you get.

One of the things I love is that there’s almost never a wait, so we can just walk in and enjoy a nice meal without the hassle. The owner is amazing too — always smiling and making you feel welcome. The service here honestly makes the whole experience even better.

“This place is bad. long ques and you cant skip to the food you want. one has to stand in this long line and move as it moves and the food is not even all that and very limited. If you eventually get to the food and the buckets are empty you have to move along otherwise you holding up the line. This must be the worst buffet place in Cape Town and the toilets are disgusting.“

Back in the day Shirley was a great waitress. Jumping forward we are still enjoy the food and receive exceptional serve from Sophie and the whole gang.

He thought the chicken might be too spicy so he brought her a small portion of non spicy chicken. He gave great suggestions for what to eat. If you want a family friendly restaurant eat here.“
