“Truly one of the best Korean restaurants in Edmonton. Service is great, friendly and helpful staff. The food is impeccable and traditional. Love their gamjatang (pork bone soup) and unlimited refill for side dishes! This is Korean excellence and I love watching the kpop music videos on their tv. It’s always a fun and warm experience at pocha ?Other favourites: Samyeopsal (pork belly with lettuce wrap)?Takoyaki (best in the city!)?Mul-naengmyeon (cold noodle, perfect for summer!)There is a server (I think her name is Stella), she gives the warmest smile and always remembers her customers!I know it’ll be a good time when she’s there ⭐️❤️“
“I thought I had reviewed this place before.I am glad to write another review of this place.Their Tonkatsu have gotten better than before. It was good and now it is great!Everything is made fresh upon ordering, so it is piping hot !Small hole in the wall place as you wouldn't know if you drive nearby. But glad I have tried here. They are also well known for fried chicken, but I recommend trying their Tonkatsu!“
“I’ve tried food from Ma Chef a couple of times after people recommended it, including the Korean-Style Pork Cutlet and CN Tower Gamjatang Jeongol. The pork cutlet was really crispy, had good thickness and flavour, and the sauce made it really stand out. The Gamjatang was really good as well. It was a bit more spicy than most other ones I’ve had (which I liked), had quite a bit of good vegetables, the meat was really flavourful and tender, and the udon was a good inclusion. Overall, it was really good value for the quantity and quality of the food so I’d rate them 8.8/10“
“Went tonight with my girls. The bul go gi is probably the best in Edmonton. All the food was super fresh, abd yummy. The people working were so sweet. Absolutely recommend this place. Abd will go again. The short ribs are always my Korean go too, this place does them super well.Edit-I miss a good yae chae twigim. Just a suggestion for the menu“
“Dated my friends for a Friday lunch at Miga. Very spacious restaurant with high ceiling. A very good place to have good food and chit chat with friends. We ordered a rosu katsu, a hire katsu and a cheese katsu. Each meal comes with a miso soup, an appetiser which was some preserved cabbage, some cabbage as veggies, the cutlet and rice. There was also a little bowl of sesame for us to grind and add the sauce for dipping. The three of us decided to share the meals so we each had some of the different katsu. My personal favourite was the hire katsu which was the pork tenderloin cutlet. It was very crispy in the outside and soft in the inside. Was definitely a wonderful meal and I plan to visit again with my family.“
“This is a cute bungalow house turned into a cafe. Sit upstairs if you have a choice. Basement is chilly in winter. Coffee is ok; not bad and not credo level either. We were sad we ate before coming because the food looked good. Asian style cuisine. Will try to come back and try food.Parking: Street parking, could be an issue if busy.“
“I visited at chicken spot with my sister and we ordered four pieces with fries ? and crispy gochu jang burger ? and it was really very delicious !!? . It was my first time experienced of having that much tasty chicken ?. I also appreciate their service. They treat customer with polite and respectful way.I recommend to everyone to visit at chicken spot and try their delicious chicken!!“
“This Korean BBQ are so many times before Covid. Last weekend, we went again. Because they have many tables, usually don’t wait that long. The combo 4 has 7 kinds of meat. The portion were good! The corn c cheese are sweet so kids love to eat! I am a big fan of spicy! The short rib are my favorite meat!“
“As a downtown local I love this place! It's the perfect feel good take out! The owner is so friendly, always offers a cup of soup. This food is made with so much love, the ingredients are fresh. Never pass up on the desserts, the brownies are to die for!“
“Lee house is in China Town right in front of T&T, they only have street parking but it is free (Just be careful because I was close to the tow-away zone and got a parking ticket)Honourable mentions would be the pork belly as it was delicious and I would say the seafood pancake was also just as good. The place wasn’t too busy and the the server was alright. We were the only ones in the restaurant so we only called him if we needed something.A little pricy but its difficult to find anything cheaper these days. For sure would go again!“
“After return several times AND ordering online, i’ve come to a conclusion that yam yam consistently provides cheap and quality serving sizes every time! it’s a great spot for lunch or after school, and the food tastes delicious! the place is very clean, well decorated and the workers are always very pleasant and even bring the food to the table for me! (which i do not expect since it’s more of a “fast food” or “self serve, seat yourself” setting) i will be ordering regularly“
“I believe we ordered #25 and #42, and both came with refillable side dishes and all were so good! #25 truly woke me up with its spice. I love how the servers here are snappy. Just press the button on the table, and they’ll come rushing to you. I value servers who have a sense of urgency (check my recent reviews to compare haha). I have not had Yakult in a while, so the free small drink (tastes similar) upon checking out was a great surprise!“
“Gaya is a great little restaurant for a casual eating experience, whether it's lunch or dinner. The food is promptly made, and Kathleen, the manager, provides fantastic service. Highly recommended for a quick and tasty meal that won't break the bank.“
“We came here at 10:30pm to try their food. We got a cheese only corn dog for $6.99 and poutine bulgogi for $8.99. Overall, they were great. Loved how the corn dog had soooo much cheese. ? Poutine was great as well, the gravy was a little watery. Would recommend this place for its price!“
“A great place on campus to get a quick bite. Their lunch specials are super tasty ranging from the bulgogi beef to the spicy pork options with lots of sides to choose from. There kitchen option (which only take a couple minutes longer) are also a great choice. I recommend the kimchi fried rice.I load up on the sesame sauce as a must too!“
“To be honest I don't remember how much we paid for our dinner, but I took some pictures of the menu. We really enjoyed the food we ordered and it was more than enough for our family of six. I'm sure we'll be coming back when we'll be in the area again ?“
“Went with Korean friends who recommended it for authenticity. It was definitely interesting. The prices were a little high but the portions were large so no complaints. I thought the food was tasty enough but lacking the wow factor. The vegetables and meat were cooked nicely. The rice was cooked nicely too.“
“I revisited this restaurant because I missed the flavors. This time, I ordered tteokbokki, Korean-style corn dogs, bibimbap, and pork cutlets. Tteokbokki is a timeless soul food, and the Korean-style corn dogs are delicious, but you can also do the cheese string challenge. And bibimbap is so localized that it's more than enough of a global food. My favorite item on this visit is the pork cutlet meal. This combo includes Korean-style sausage, japchae, a little salad, and rice. It was more varied, tasty, and filling than the combos at other restaurants.Tip: Get a group of friends together and try the Korean Style Corn Dog Cheese String Challenge - it's not only delicious, it's also a fun game to play with your friends.Tip 2: Don't forget the bubble tea and specialty drinks.“
“I’ve always loved kokoriko in terwillegar and was so happy to hear that they opened this location which is closer to me. These stars are for kokoriko because Quickly bubble tea is not the best bubble tea. Wish they would partner with dream tea or cocos “
“I have yet to try anything on the menu other than the soy garlic chicken, fries and , now, green onion cake. the soy garlic chicken is just so good. I go in there with intentions of trying out the rest of the menu but, alas, can't get past my favorite. The chicken is so flavorful and tender. I would definitely recommend them !“
