A last Tuesday night around 11:10 , my friend and I were waiting for the bus outside A&W. When we got there, I was very hungry. My friend said, “Let’s try. Maybe it’s open 24 hours, or maybe only the drive-thru is open.”
So we decided to try. When we reached there, the gate was open, so we went inside. There was a white girl working there — I don’t know who she was or what her name was. When we asked her, she said, “No, no, we are closed.”
I said okay, but I also said we wanted to order something. She just said they don’t have a till (cash register). I said okay, I understand if you don’t want to give us the order, but if you don’t have a till, then how are you running the drive-thru? How are you taking orders from people in the drive-thru if you don’t have a till?
If I had come through the drive-thru and placed an order, would you have told me the same thing — that you don’t have a till and cannot accept orders?
I didn’t even say that I would pay cash. She didn’t ask me how I wanted to pay — whether by cash or card. She didn’t answer my questions at all and immediately told us to leave and go outside.
First of all, if you were closed, the gate should have been locked. Second, you should have asked me how I wanted to pay — cash or card. And if you really don’t have a till, then please explain how you are running the drive-thru without it. Pls if you have answer tell me .

The woman didnt speak proper English didnt get our order right which costed 17.50$ then to correct the order she wanted me to pay an extra 17$ for the fries she didnt add to the meal deal!! Since when is 2 3pc chicken strip meal come to almost 40$ thats beyond stupid and not happening! Be a cold day in hell I pay 20$ for 3 chicken stripe and pop And a handful of fries!! Especially from a woman who cant understand English we are in canada figure it out or go back to your own country!!

A & W on 149st and 111ave is by far the best A & W restaurant. 109st and Kingsway location 1 star. The food is always luke warm and service is slow....especially after 10pm. Another bad location is o Whyte Ave and 102st. Terrible service and food is luke warm any time of the day. The staff are poorly trained and do not care about quality or service. 1 star. In conclusion, the best location 149st A & W is the only location I will visit. 5 stars.
I love the teenburgers but I absolutely refuse to pay the ridiculously high price they want for them now. Even when they are on special two for $13.49 that is still way to much. They should be $5.00 each all the time. If people want to pay those stupid prices good for them. Then they wonder why their CC bill is so high. I used to go to A&W pretty often but haven’t in a very long time due to their very high prices in everything. I like the food especially teen burgers but not at those prices.
