Me neva no which part Jamaica dem promote. The rice is a few days old and very mushy…no flavour to the rice, the ox tail nah taste like oxtail and it very sticky.

This isn’t authentic Jamaican cuisine, this is Canadian inspired Jamaican cuisine!

What a waste of money.

This place use to be good. Haven't been in awhile and thought let me get an small oxtail rice n peas. Disappointed is an understatement. Rice was over cooked and almost mushy, oxtail had zero flavor and the gravy which was way too much had even less flavor. All for $29 with a pop that cost $4.50. I almost cried but laughed instead. Definitely won't be back or recommend.

I came from Ontario and was feeling for Carribean comfort food. I went straight from the airport to this place. First red flag was the place was dark, and dusty. The food counter displayed were also dirty on the inside and needed to be clean. Since I came so far, I decided to still order, to support my own people. I ordered a beef soup ($13.50), a small fry chicken($20), and a small jerk chicken($20). Mind you, they charge and extra $1.20 for oxtail gravy. The soup had very little seasoning to it. It was mostly dumpling and two pieces of beef. The fried chicken tasted blah and no seasoning. It doesn't even compare to KFC chicken. The rice and peas were dry, not even water can rehydrate it. The jerk chicken WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!! It tastes old and like cardboard. I brought the jerk chicken back to this establishment, and I told the lady working there I would like a refund on it, and explain the reasoning. They told me no. I told them I only two two bites of the chicken and some rice (I EVEN HANDED IT BACK TO THEM AND SHOWED THEM). They called their boss and their boss told them I couldn't have a refund. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND YOU COME TO THIS PLACE!!!!! PLEASE TRUST ALL OF THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ON THIS PLACE!!! THE FOOD IS GROSS AND THE STAFF LSCKS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

This was the worst food I ever tasted. I ordered 2 large soups, 1 small jerk chicken, and a small fry chicken. The soup was watered down, no favor. The jerk chicken tasted old, and the rice in the fried chicken was very dry. Even if you pour water on it, it wouldn't soften it up. I brought back the jerk chicken, and I was refused a refund.

I specifically asked for chicken breast, said she had it and proceeded to give me leg and thigh. Didn’t know until I got home. Basically paid 26$ for rice and peas. First and last time going, I know I won’t be back.

Ordered oxtail and it was horrible. Didn’t taste like Jamaican oxtail at all, just salty and greasy and the rice and peas were flavourless and overcooked I will never order from them again. Irie foods is wayyyyy better.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Best Jamaican food next to Jamaica herself. Service is phenomenal, good vibes only. We've had lunch here, takeout and they catered a birthday for us. 10/10!

Well this establishment use to be a pillar in the Edmonton community when it comes to Jamaican food. Twice now I purchase from this place and was so disappointed by the taste of the food and the presentation. I surely will never purchase from here again or recommend this place for Jamaican food. Yah Mi Deh …time to reflect and get a new chef that can truly cook and represent Jamaican food
