I really like the place, and would give 4 or 5, but the fact they only serve food until 2 is a bit odd to me, when they are open until 4. Im a late brunch person. Also I thought they would heat up the panini but no, even though i asked. Also no substitutions were allowed. Just a little inflexible.

Honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've had in ages!

I found out they make them in-house and I enjoy every damn bite. I know it seems ridiculous to write a review about but when's the last time you had a sandwich so good you had to write a review?

Yeah, exactly! No one knows how to make a sandwich anymore, it's wild!

Coffee is solid, won't be disappointed, atmosphere is super cute and feels very Vancouver.

Only direct negative feedback I have is that I've found the staff to be -- in the two times I've come -- unhappy. There doesn't seem to be a joy in working here.

So to management, perhaps they need a little more love, a little more trust, whatever it is, I would love them to be as happy as the people who come to the café itself.

This is my go to coffee shop in Edmonton! Great coffee, friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere. They also make a yummy iced chai latte! Try a pistachio bomboloni if you get the chance!

Minimalist interior with serious coffee execution. Beans are roasted in-house, baristas know what they’re doing, and the space has a calming, wood-forward design. Great for a focused solo coffee or quiet meet-up.

Really one of my favorite coffee shops in Edmonton. Every time I come in the staff are always so kind and have an attention to detail. The food and coffee is great and the atmosphere is top tier. It’s like my second office. Would highly recommend!

Had the worst experience, won’t be returning.
It’s 30 degrees outside and I’m meeting my friend at this cafe, I brought a raw salmon poke bowl with me because I don’t like sandwiches and that’s all they serve.

I bought two donuts and two coffees, sit down and the barista tells me I can’t bring outside food, I can’t just leave my raw salmon sitting for an hour so now I have to take my friend and her kids somewhere else just so I can eat, and I’ll probably have to buy new drinks to sit in a new cafe out of the heat. Can’t believe I had to argue to get a refund for drinks I didn’t touch. It’s a cafe not a sit down restaurant, stop with the pretentiousness

Oh and the space is not accessible for people with wheelchairs, they have these giant horrible log seats that you can’t move out of the way, so if you’re disabled don’t plan on sitting at a table

my fave fave favourite cafe in edmonton. I love walking here after classes to study I love their cappuccinos and their matcha. whenever I go here it’s always the highlight of my day.

Sometimes it’s really busy and there’s no available tables which sucks, because if i’m gonna be paying that much for a drink I wanna sit down, but tables do open up with time and people often let you sit on the other side of the 4 seaters

Ace is by far the best café in Garneau. On any given day, you'll see a who's who of the community in there. The coffee is perfect. Ace coffee has the best coffee, the best service, and the best atmosphere. Welcoming and exuberant, the place is the gathering place for the neighborhood. The food is also excellent.
The stand-out best part of Ace is its staff. The people serving coffee every day are so friendly and interested in the people they meet. They are all little rays of sunshine who make people's days a little brighter.
Ace is an absolute gem, nestled in the heart of Garneau.

I came here on my lunch break today and paid to have bacon added to my bagel, unfortunately they forgot the bacon/didn't add it. I didn't have time to go back/wait for that.

The first time I figured it was just a fluke, but unfortunately this has now happened both of the times I've ever ordered food here. 2/2 times they forgot to add the bacon that they charged me extra $ for. So I wouldn't recommend paying for anything extra/customizing your order at all, because they likely will just charge you extra for it but then you won't get it, and the food is already overpriced to begin with.

Otherwise, its a nice place with friendly staff and good coffee.
