Taylor is a great server. We had a blast tonight. Yummy drinks. I liked the Berry Bliss Sangria and my hubby had a few different bourbon options, including a secret menu option with peach schnapps. Yay! Would go back. Tip: make a reservation.

Waitress was great, but the manager refused to turn down the music. When the waitress cannot hear customers, and customers have to yell when a foot from each other and still have difficulty hearing, then there is a problem. My wife and I have been here in the past a couple times and the music wasn’t as loud. Alchemy used to be a place to socialize in a cool atmosphere, pay way too much for ok drinks, but there are other places in Edmonton that you can go to for better drinks, prices, and a social atmosphere in which you can have a conversation. There have been numerous complaints from customers and your own employees, maybe you should consider what people are saying and why you are losing customers. I will not return.

I've visited this bar several times and absolutely love the Decor, ambiance, vibe, and DJ—it creates such a classy atmosphere. Last night, I arrived with a friend without a reservation and was seated at the bar. While we were content there, we noticed a couple of booths that remained empty for quite some time as we sat.
After a while, we asked the manager if we could sit at one of those vacant booths, but he informed us that he couldn’t accommodate our request without a reservation. Although it was the busiest I had ever seen The Alchemy, with a lively crowd, a few booths remained empty for an extended period. It seems a bit surprising that they would hold a reservation for over an hour for guests who didn't show up.
I appreciated that the manager eventually returned to offer my friend and me a table, and we were very grateful for that! However, an hour after we were seated, our server kindly asked us to leave to accommodate a guest with a reservation. This situation suggested that we could have been seated at other available booths from the start and simply vacated them when the reservations arrived. It would be beneficial if the reservation system allowed for more flexibility in seating during busy periods.
Music volume needs to be lowered, hard to communicate. Just a little too loud for conversations among guests.
The menu is on the pricier side, but I enjoy the unique offerings that set this bar apart from others in the city. While I was disappointed to see some of my favourite dishes removed from the menu, I tried new items, and the plating and overall taste were excellent!
Overall, I love this place, and it remains a favorite of mine.
A special shout-out to the manager for accommodating us on such a busy night, with a table, despite our lack of a reservation! Much appreciated!

View is nice but service was not. Waited fifteen minutes with two empty cups until i got up and went over to the water jugs to get myself some water. Drink was good.
Four employees behind the bar, only one other table occupied. Afternoon Saturday.

This place is great. Atmosphere is awesome. We made a reservation, showed up on time and we were made to wait in the hall for 15-20 minutes. Really disappointed in how we were treated. It was my husband's 40th birthday. I understand it was busy but why take reservations if you don't honor them. We will never be back unfortunately. Really sad.

Overall experience was great! Had a selection of drinks off the menus and our main man Rylie pulled off an amazing old fashioned to finish off our evening.

One of my favorite staples in Edmonton. Very luxurious Cocktail bar. People would say it's pricey here, but you also pay for professional, impeccable service, accompanied by exquisite, fantastic cocktails. Highly recommend this establishment. Shout out to the Mixologist, Riley. Outstanding staff.

Gorgeous patio and cool looking interior. Friendly staff as well. Where things went sideways: took over 20 minutes for arrival of first drink. Claustrophobic friend was denied ability to use stairs so couldn’t come up and join us. This started with concierge at hotel saying the hotel didn’t even have stairs to eventually the stairs being armed. Once we were told the stairs could be accessible, over 35-40 minutes had passed and they had already left. Food wise, for what we paid, it was incredibly underwhelming and bland. Cheese plate was sad. $15 for a mocktail. Grilled cheese bites were cold. Fries were also cold. Just disappointing overall.

If there was a 0/5 they would’ve gotten it. The service is beyond inattentive and the servers don’t even seem to try. Is this a 5 star hotel attached to this nonsense? Really?
Food is nothing special. Even the oysters were disappointing. I’m starting to avoid this place. Dessert I used to come back for is off the menu. What a sad place.

Okay food, but a really loud atmosphere with unfortunate service. Not offered napkins or small plates for our shareable and not checked upon. Well made cocktails but not worth the price for the poor seating and lack of service.

Don't think they get the concept of a speakeasy - other than the bookshelf passage. Drinks were overpriced and nothing remarkable. The music was so loud you couldn't even talk to the person next to you.
On their website, the daytime pictures look lovely and I'm sure the outdoor patio is gorgeous during the day, but at night, the place is loud and the lighting harsh. Shouldn't a speakeasy be a chill, intimate, dimly-lit lounge? This was definitely not that. Feels like a bit of an opportunity missed.
