I was in the city early, looking for some good Somalian food and this was one of the few places that was actually open. Glad they were too! Sat down for some good soup and generous portion of beef suqaar! Yum!

I occasionally have the pleasure of dining at AMOUD Somali restaurant and I must say, it is always an unforgettable experience. the moment I walk in or meet the sttaff , I am greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere with the tradition decor that makes me feel right at home.

The menu offered a variety of traditional Somali dishes, all of which are bursting with flavor and authenticity. I decided to try the lamb shank a dish made with tender piece...

Came here to get some suqaar, a friendly and good-natured lady manages this restaurant. However, the ambiance is not very cozy and warm. All you see is a group of Somali guys occupying tables (not a family friendly eatery) and eating with their mouths open and talking loudly at the same time. The restaurant floor was not clean either.

The lemonade could have been colder & sweeter. If it was bubbly, it would have been even better.

The suqaar...
