Went out for some charcuterie and a cocktail. Surprisingly quiet but it picked up a bit later. One of the places I like to visit when I make my "rounds".
Of the 6 different dishes we all ordered, only the 2 flatbreads were alright. The rest of us had lukewarm warm to cold meals, different ingredients than what was on the menu (wild rice served & coconut rice on the menu), and the food wasn't very flavourful. The servers were pleasant, but the service was SLOW considering that aside from our table of 6 there were only a handful of people in the restaurant and there did seem to be more than enough staff. Overall, the food was underwhelming and the service disappointing.
The breakfast buffet was much larger and more variety than I would have imagined for the modest price. Even coffee was included. My favourites were the waffle, sausage and oatmeal. The cut fruit was so delicious. My friend also tried the pastries and loved them. I read that you could order eggs the way you want but there was no one there for that. But that was okay.
We have dined here quite a bit in the past. Looks like there weee renovations done since the last time and the menu was not as rich as previously. The service was great but the food was not near as good as what we have experienced in the past.
Cute restaurant, great wine list. Once we received our meals we didn't get checked on for quite awhile, we would have ordered more drinks etc
The whipped ricotta appetizer is delicious, it's light, fresh, and surprisingly good. The fries are good. The steak is good. The service is friendly and attentive. I would return.
I was so excited to go here for brunch as I heard great things in the past from friends. Unfortunately, I should have read the reviews. Avoid at brunch at all costs. It is really a hotel continental breakfast and not a great one at that. I do believe that one time it may have been a great option when they had their breakfast charcuterie however there are so many cute great local restaurants coffee shops etc. that one should go to instead. Although our server was excellent the whole experience was uncomfortable.... As the place is so quiet, we had to ask for help at the buffet to get hot water and the breaker went off when we were using the toaster which was just store-bought bread. We understand that management has changed which would count for this change in quality over this last year. I hope people are able to read the reviews and don't go off of past experience.
Worst place ever. Had a gift card and was told I couldn't use it, that they no longer accept gift cards. Yes, I was told I couldn't use the gift card with their restaurant's name and logo on it. Said they have “different management now” and a new system so they can't tell the value of a gift card. There was no notice, no mention that gift cards weren't useable anymore. Their social media says they closed for a “minor renovation” over the winter. When you purchase a business, you inherit the obligations of the business, especially when it's the same business with the same name! Not that I believe there was new management - just incompetent management. The manager, Nitin, was awful. Very rude, unaccommodating, condescending. Questioned me by implying I was trying to scam the business with an empty card. I ended up leaving the gift card there which was much higher than my bill. I thought we would have funds left on the card so we could come back. Nope, never going back there. And I'll be warning everyone I know as well. Terrible management. What a headache over a mediocre hotel breakfast-style meal.
Large Charcuterie board was delicious; 4 of us polished that off. Sable fish was amazing and the rice was so flavourful. Fig and prosciutto flatbread was wonderful and full of goat cheese. Flank steak was very good with the maple glazed carrots and charred corn. Definitely making a return trip
Seems like there is new ownership. The menu has changed. Loved the old menu, new menu is less classy but still priced as if it was. I our server was lovely and seemed to be the only server for the night but once we got our food she didn't check on us at all and eventually we had to go up to ask for our bill Cocktail was $18 and tasted cheap, not worth it and only ended up having one drink because the server didn't come back to our table once our food arrived Last year was way better. I probably won't go again

Ordered two appetizers, 2 cocktails, 2 flatbreads, and a main. None of these had a flavour that popped as per ingredient listing/menu description. Disappointed in food, service was great though.
This place has gone waaaaaay downhill since my original post. Cold food, variety is like camp food and the eggs Benny were super cringe

Our server was attentive, friendly and professional. Our Caesar salad was good by rather on the small side and the toasted bread served with was tasteless and didn't really make good croutons. My miso-sable fish was outstanding but the others in our group their meals were quite average - flatbread, penne and tagliatelle.
Very good food, nice ambiance, and our server Injel is amazing!

Fantastic experience from start to finish!
The service was top-notch, and the food quality exceeded expectations. Our server, Alex, was incredibly friendly and attentive—she really made the evening special. I ordered the Monday flatbread and beer promotion, and was impressed by the wide selection of beers available. I was torn between two options, and Alex kindly offered sample shots of both to help me decide—such a thoughtful touch!
The Miso-Glazed Sablefish and Truffled Porcini Tagliatelle were absolute standouts—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend giving them a try!
