The Sunday buffet was an excellent value for the money. The only complaint was the temperature of the food at the buffet (for example waffles were cold even with the heat lamp) otherwise it's a great little buffet
This restaurant is nice inside, we were seated and informed that they only had one server so it might be slow. Service was okay, our table had the sable fish, chicken, pulled pork sandwich and small charcuterie board. I had the sable fish which was cooked perfectly although had no flavour. I had to add salt, would have added pepper too but couldn't catch the server and grabbed the salt from another table. The other dishes were just okay, nothing too exceptional. The pulled pork was to come with fries and it came out with yam fries. The server wasn't around to correct the order
We have dined in this restaurant in the past and found it to be superb unfortunately this evening was a let down. The food for the most part was enjoyable however the service was terrible. One waitress for the entire restaurant. We received our first order of drinks but she never came back. We would have all likely ordered a second drink to have with dinner. Food was delivered by kitchen staff and our waitress never even stopped to check if we needed anything or how the food was..We had to hunt down someone to be offered dessert menus and coffee and the dessert menu is quite odd in its offerings. I did try the mandarin pudding but the consistency was more like a runny soup. For a Saturday evening in a busy area of the city the restaurant should have had more staff on shift to ensure all patrons had an enjoyable evening.
Unfortunately ampersand has become a shell of its former self. Once one of the best restaurants in Edmonton and a contender for the best on whyte avenue, it now stands a far cry from that. The ambience is the same and the stock of bottles is the last bastion that remains. Some of the appetizers would pass for adequate at a sports bar. The mains barely touched and sent back. Even the dessert missed the mark by a mile. House made pastry that if the chef bother to taste would have never been sent out. A sad end to a once fine establishment. I don't believe I'll see it again.

This was an awful experience. My sister and I went for bunch on Sunday in December. It sounds delightful on the website.
I don’t often complain to the wait staff at restaurants but this was so awful, neither of us could keep quiet.
The food had been sitting forever, the waffles were rock hard when cutting into them. Nothing tasted good. The eggs Benedict “bar” was the eggs sitting on a heater with no meat, very flat English muffins and a small drip of Hollandaise. We asked if they served speciality coffee and she said they could add baileys to the plain coffee.
Then when we said the food wasn’t very good, the server said she’d tell the kitchen to make fresh ones. She brought back cold eggs Benedict.
We didn’t even want to eat the food and we are not picky eaters. I never have told a restaurant that I wouldn’t pay for my meal but this was so awful it was almost insulting. I really Recommend staying away if you value your money and time. A very disappointing experience.

Very subpar. The brunch buffet is essentially a low-end hotel breakfast, and the quality isn't there. The restaurant was empty for a reason. While we were there, the table next to us actually walked out after a few bites, telling the supervisor they wouldn't pay because the food was so poor. Avoid!
Went there for our work Christmas party and it was a lovely experience. The ambience was great, the live DJ kept the energy high and everyone had an amazing time dancing. The staff were attentive and friendly. A great place for group events and celebrations!

Jeremy was amazing!!
Way overpriced for what you get. Frozen fries? Really? It seems they want to be fancier, but the food certainly doesn't match. It also didn't seemed like they didn't cared that we were there. Definitely won't be back anytime soon
Brunch buffet was very sad. Cold bennies, only a rumour of hollandaise, bland scrambled eggs, frozen potatoes. I’ve had better at a Best Western.

Went out for some charcuterie and a cocktail. Surprisingly quiet but it picked up a bit later. One of the places I like to visit when I make my "rounds".
Of the 6 different dishes we all ordered, only the 2 flatbreads were alright. The rest of us had lukewarm warm to cold meals, different ingredients than what was on the menu (wild rice served & coconut rice on the menu), and the food wasn't very flavourful. The servers were pleasant, but the service was SLOW considering that aside from our table of 6 there were only a handful of people in the restaurant and there did seem to be more than enough staff. Overall, the food was underwhelming and the service disappointing.
The breakfast buffet was much larger and more variety than I would have imagined for the modest price. Even coffee was included. My favourites were the waffle, sausage and oatmeal. The cut fruit was so delicious. My friend also tried the pastries and loved them. I read that you could order eggs the way you want but there was no one there for that. But that was okay.
We have dined here quite a bit in the past. Looks like there weee renovations done since the last time and the menu was not as rich as previously. The service was great but the food was not near as good as what we have experienced in the past.
