We arrived on time and there was a note on the door saying they were close mid january to mid march. No one let us know- it was business as usual... even asked for us to confirm our appointment !! Waste of time. Waste of gas. NOT impressed.

Went here for a company event. This place has a wonderful ambience and the food served was pretty good, but it wasn't mindblowing or anything, though nothing to scoff at. However, the service there was beyond incredible. From the door to the bar to the table, it was top tier level and even with a full house they were textbook.

Nice hospitality, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and awful food!
Beside the fact that the options we had for dinner were so limited, I ordered duck, it was literally bloody and tasted like raw meat. Also, the wild rice was not fresh, was undercooked, and you could get it for 5$ from save-on. The funny part is that I paid 45$ for a plate that wasn’t even worth 15$! My friends were disappointed with the quality of their foods too.
I don’t recommend dining at this restaurant at all. Maybe you could go for a drink and enjoy the cool environment.

We were looking forward to trying A27. And the food was pretty good! Unfortunately the service was not great. We had one drinks order filled once. And after our entrees were out on the table we didn't see our server until we asked for our bills. We had empty drinks and plates on our table for probably 20 minutes. And there was only 3-4 other small groups in the dining room. We were celebrating a birthday and would have loved to have had a couple more drinks and dessert but didn't get the opportunity to.

I made a reservation for 11pm for 4 people to celebrate my engagement. Friends from out of town were joining us. The restaurant informed me that they couldn't accommodate that time and I needed to change it to 8pm to make it easier for them as their kitchen was closing at 9pm . Even though it gave me until 11:15pm to book. The food menu does not seem to list any of the beautiful food shown in the pictures. We were sad to miss out on all the fun cocktails listed. I think we dodged a bullet. Seems very unorganized .

The service was outstanding! I ordered a cocktail that was a bit too sweet, the server immediately offered to replace it, remedied perfectly! We ordered Bruschetta which was absolutely amazing! Cauliflower bites were the best we had ever tasted! The build your own charcuterie had wonderful options and we enjoyed them all, especially the strawberry honey compote! The ambiance and music were so pleasant and relaxing! Absolutely a wonderful experience for a leisurely dining option. If I could rate this restaurant on a scale of 10, I would give it a 15!

Absolutely never again. We came for brunch, after being seated, we then sat for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to offer us a beverage. We ordered coffee with milk and it came lukewarm and pre-poured, never to be topped up again. We both ordered eggs Benedict, one traditional and one smoked salmon. They eventually came also lukewarm, with a gelatinous and congealed hollandaise sauce, clearly pre-made and I’m guessing was probably sitting under a warmer. The rest of the plate was taken up with a bizarre cluster of small whole potatoes and nothing else except a small dish of ketchup.
And that was brunch. We ate most of it because we were starving and because despite the poor presentation and general low quality, the eggs were properly poached and because we didn’t have time to re order, and because we just went with it, which was our mistake. The service wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t friendly or attentive with the feeling that the sooner we ate and got out of there the better.
It wasn’t an inexpensive meal and in hindsight, I wish I’d said something, or better yet never gone in the first place. I’m shocked that in a town where there are so many excellent restaurants, that anyone would think it is remotely acceptable to serve such a substandard meal at such high prices. Lazy and uninspired. Save your money.
MacDonald’s is a better bet.

Food was ok. Steak was very very chewy for a 12oz strip loin at $54 that's crazy it was chewy. The Demi glaze was great! Nice servers and quick and attentive.

The food was really good, I had the sirloin steak and was surprised how good it was! The baked brie was phenomenal as well, going to try and replicate it at home

Nov 30 we had Christmas dinner at Ampersand and what a wonderful experience we had! Great food, hospitality was outstanding. We felt so welcomed and very well looked after throughout the evening. Special thanks goes to Padon ( starting from prompt communication throughout to customized set menu cards )
Nitin was very professional, providing great service ( following up on how was the food after each course, making sure all guests are having good evening) pleasant personality.
Awesome service overall! Thank you! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Came with a group pre show 5pm reservation for a 730pm show, let the server know as such, drinks came randomly in fact 2 of us were almost done before the others arrived. Entrees took over an hour after ordering arriving at close to 640pm, we had to ask for the bills as we were served to have any hope of making the show on time. The waiter, said, oh right I guess the show starts at 730. Food was below mediocre, my wife and I ordered the pom pom chicken and all the sides, and plate were cold. The chicken was hot, a little too hot and tasted like it had come fresh from the microwave.
This use to be a great place but was beyond disappointed with the quality and service especially at the prices (37 for a chicken breast and risotto). Will not be coming back.

We went here on August 17th for our anniversary with a friend. The restaurant looked nice, but their patio was closed despite it being nice weather. We were seated and it took almost a half hour to just get water despite it not being busy. Food tasted good but for myself that’s where it stopped. I had the seafood linguini dish (I can’t remember the fancy name) and ended up with food poisoning and in violent pain and vomiting within 4 hours! Our friends dish was extremely peppery and said it was unpleasant. My husband said his steak was ok but he has had far better steak elsewhere and the mashed potato’s were lumpy. He was extremely disappointed especially since it cost $54 for a piece of meat that was smaller than an average size handThe peach Bellini was NOT a Bellini. A Bellini is a slush drink and this was NOT slush. It was a carbonated drink that didn’t even taste like peach. I ordered the non-alcoholic peach Bellini because I can’t have carbonated drinks and so a Bellini is one of my go to’s. I couldn’t even drink it. Not offered a replacement after explaining why I couldn’t have it and how a Bellini is a slush drink. As well, the price is insane!!!!!!! $165 for small portions and disappointing drinks (1 alcoholic and 3 non)Like you almost have to sacrifice your first born child to eat there. The server was nice and no complaints.

Honestly, it was not worth it. Disappointed when it was for an anniversary supper which was stated on our reservation. It seemed you were paying more for the "status" of eating there than good quality food and decent options. For it being 6:30pm on a Saturday on Whyte Ave, they were pretty dead (3 other tables occupied and 1 larger reservation in another room). I won’t be going back, especially after the food poisoning. This definitely ruined my anniversary.

I also tried to post this on Open Table for the last few months but they will not approve it.
