Hands-down the best German rye bread bakery in Edmonton!Every time I get a bread order, there is weight to the bag and aroma. I quickly know I am not buying tasteless Wonderbread, and I'm about to experience truly amazing flavor, particularly the rye and the sourdough. I get a bit annoyed because they don't have any prices in their pastry section, however, everything I have tried from there has been excellent. I can highly recommend the quark cheesecake (not too sweet) and the ginger bread people. Pretzels are also a chewy and delicious treat, and we particularly like the Black Forest Rye, the Sovital, the Bavarian Rye and the Shinken Brot breads. Also note that their butter-creme is not cloyingly sweet like you'd find in other bakeries. Limited parking in front. Not sure if there is a lot or additional parking nearby. Highly worth a trip there and you won't be disappointed.

My son is really getting into baking. He want to visit every bakery in the city and surrounding towns. This is a German bakery. The cream horns were very delicious, the Cheesecake was very creamy, the brownie cake with mocha icing was really yummy. Oh yes and the flower shaped cookies with sprinkles on the edges were a very nice shortbread.

This is probably the best bakery in edmonton for authentic German sweets. I personally find their black forest cake the closest thing to being in

Hi Perry I stopped by on Saturday and of course was too late to get any bread, except a Baguette which turned out to be fantastic.I also picked up a day old heavy loaf of what appears to be a heavy rye with all kinds of grains in it. Fantastic. Then my sweet tooth spoke: It been YEARS since I have a Bienenstiech this well done. Breath taking.Poppy seed square was almost the same. All was a work of ART. Many Thanks Doug Laver

Visited this charming family-owned bakery and was welcomed by three lovely ladies who run the place. The atmosphere inside? Pure bliss, filled with incredible aromas. It’s clear the cake game here is strong—flavorful and just the right amount of sweet. They also offer an extensive selection of bread and pastries. Service is warm, and the quality of their goods speaks volumes. Highly recommend to anyone in search of authentic, delicious baked treats.

Stopped in on a whim having heard about this bakery and their cheese twists years ago. Picked up an assortment of danishes, strudels and cheese twists. Everything was delicious and flakey. The cheese twists have a crack of pepper in them which was a pleasant surprised. The sweet pastries were buttery and flakey. This has been a long time Edmonton bakery and I don’t see it going away any time soon!
