Hands-down the best German rye bread bakery in Edmonton!Every time I get a bread order, there is weight to the bag and aroma. I quickly know I am not buying tasteless Wonderbread, and I'm about to experience truly amazing flavor, particularly the rye and the sourdough. I get a bit annoyed because they don't have any prices in their pastry section, however, everything I have tried from there has been excellent. I can highly recommend the quark cheesecake (not too sweet)...
My son is really getting into baking. He want to visit every bakery in the city and surrounding towns. This is a German bakery. The cream horns were very delicious, the Cheesecake was very creamy, the brownie cake with mocha icing was really yummy. Oh yes and the flower shaped cookies with sprinkles on the edges were a very nice shortbread.
Their pretzels are absolutely amazing and truly a must try. Fresh, soft on the inside, perfectly baked on the outside, they are some of the best pretzels you will find...
