This was our first time at Ayco cafe and we liked it. The entrance was a little hidden but there was a small sign out front by the door so we found it promptly.
Their pastries were displayed beautifully behind the glass. Everything looked so good. We eventually ordered a Latte with oat milk, a London Fog with oat milk, a Lemon Meringue Cruffin, and the Supreme Matcha Strawberry Croissant.
Both the food and drinks were good. The Lemon Meringue Cruffin was tasty. I loved the lemon meringue filling and I felt that there was a generous amount inside the cruffin. The Supreme Matcha Strawberry croissant was lovely as well. The matcha cream on top was so enjoyable. Though the pastries were delicious, it was served slightly cold. It would've been nice if they were served fresh or at least toasted. For me, because of the temperature and texture it didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked.
Our drinks were great though. My latte was smooth, rich, and tasted great. My boyfriend's London Fog was foamy and nice too.
Service was nice, the workers we interacted with were friendly. We got our orders slightly late, but the back area had two tea parties going on so it was understandable. Bathrooms were really nice here too. Thank you for serving us!

Ayco is my favorite cafe in Edmonton (maybe anywhere to be honest). The pastry is delicious, and there are so many fun options! My go to order was the toasted breakfast croissant with turkey and without the egg. The matcha latte iced or hot was also a staple in every trip. Lastly, I tried several of the sweet croissants and every single one absolutely slapped. I wish I lived in Edmonton so I could go every day.
The staff were also very nice and the one gentlemen got to know my order and knew exactly what I wanted when I came to the till (so that goes to show how much I loved it)!!! I still look for that breakfast croissant everywhere I go.

The matcha strawberry pastry was divine and has the same strawberry filling as the donut, silky and perfect amount sweet and not artificial tasting. I also had tea and the presentation was *chef's kiss*
Staff were super friendly and actually followed us out into the sidewalk and around the corner when I left my phone in the booth.
10/10, full recommendation.

We asked for a vegetarian sandwich and it had egg in it. Not enough tissues provided. service not great only provided a portion of food ordered.
Only after service did the chef explain that we should have asked for vegan option. We clearly said that the sandwich should only be veg/ it wasn't even an option given to us.
Vegetarian options: They have none.
Dietary restrictions: Nothing dairy free accept oat milk

I absolutely love their donuts! You will never find another donut in the city that's this fresh, fluffy, and delicious! Alessandro is wonderful, along with the staff, decor, and overall atmosphere.

Really lovely space; uniquely designed. The staff are always very kind and the desserts are really delicious (which I think says a lot coming from me since I’m not a sweets person haha). Always a great place to visit to study, get some cool pastries, or to just enjoy the atmosphere

Always enjoyed coming here for their pastries! It started when they had their store at WEM. However, I’ve recently noticed that they have been charging for a “bag” or a to go box when I order my pastries to go. The last time I was there was September 30. I did asked why I was being charged .50 for a box and the answer that I got was “because of the city”, which I find ridiculous as the bylaw indicates that it does not apply to produce, baked goods, and other unpackaged food, and any wrapping that is in direct contact with food.. quite disappointing..

Amazing little place tucked away amidst the tall downtown buildings. It's almost like finding a gem.
Great options for beverages, freshly-baked goods, and a cool ambience. The quality and taste are just irresistible!
