Honestly, a little disappointed. I let the restaurant know that we needed to get to the citadel for a show at 7:30, and the last 2 items of the 8 items ordered arrived at 6:52. We didn't have time to finish it, nor enough time to ask for a container to bring it home... we just needed to leave and barely made the show. Together, we could have done better to pivot to finish up sooner, but the restaurant and kitchen got slammed so it was hard to communicate. For the waiter, really nice chap, but for all concerned, I would write down the order... I tipped him 20% .. I used to be a waiter and know what it's like. Will I be back? Probably, but I think for the cost, need to tighten up communications.
Very disappointing considering the amount they charge compared to the experience we received. Although their dishes were thoughtful and would have been a great combination of flavours, the ingredients were dirty and certain dishes were poorly executed. The pears in our beet salad still had the produce label sticker on it and was very bruised. Over cooking our steak was the most disappointing as this is one of their pricier and more well known items. I honestly would not have bothered writing this review had our server bothered to simply check up on us even once, and perhaps own up to the mistake for the kitchen. But she was too eager to assume we needed our bill after not bothering to offer us a dessert menu when she bothered to do so for the table behind us. And I promise you we were polite, respectful, and as kind as can be during our entire time at the restaurant even after our experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a facade of what contemporary fine dining should be. Staffing low energy, unprofessional servers for their alt fashion sense does not make a restaurant trendy. I would take passionate and caring servers over appearances any day, and I hope anyone reading this does too. From past reviews, and the creativity of their menu, I assume Bündok was once a restaurant that executed at a higher level. That said, our recent experience was a far cry from the shell of what it used to be if this was the case. I hope they turn things around and care about their business again, because they may have something special. But I will never find out unfortunately as I will not be returning.
This was our second dinner at Bündok and as before, outstanding! Great food, great cocktails, great service and fun environment. We'll be back soon!
Excellent food and cocktails as always. The portion sizes are shrinking. The kale salad (my favourite dish in Edmonton) is now close to individual size. The pastas were ok but the other smaller plates were pathetic. Raise prices if you must but stop the shrinkflation.
Outstanding, steak and the chicken were done perfect. Business guests loved it, gnocchi was fresh and excellent. Well done BUNDOK. Certainly no issues when taking any business guests to this Restaurant !!
You can count on Bundok for a great experience. I've been here at least 3 times. Always great!
We had three people together reserved for new year eve menu. It's $125 per person fixed. It says 4 courses, 8 dishes. What we expect the 4 courses for each person as per our previous experience in different restaurants. But when the dishes started serving, it's actually for share. I mean I don't mind sharing, but each dish is tiny. It's like three people sharing single serving. It says 8 dishes but a few of them are like side dishes, like small plate of carrots. The biggest portion will be the main course which is kind of like slow cooked beef but there were only two pieces of beef but for three people. And we pay $125 for each person. The salad was also bitter and not fresh. Also the service was not great as well. No one asked if we need more water or if the food is ok. Also they just put the plates on the table and left. This is not supposed the food quality and service for $125 per person. As we had a few experiences with other restaurants with identical prices, each of us would have separate dishes and server would introduce the dishes or let us know which one on the menu. Overall the experience was not great.
Set menu for New Year's Eve was a huge disappointment. For $125 a person the small portion sizes per couple wasn't enough food. The second course lacked flavour and the drinks were sub par. We won't be going back.
An excellent meal and lively, quaint environment. Will definitely go back! The bison tartar was spectacular

Great place to take our adult family and enjoy amazing shared dishes. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy. The steak was done just right, chicken skins were to die for and the olives were amazing. Overall we enjoyed our experience.
Fantastic food. While a touch pricey, great food comes that way and it is well worth it. One criticism—not enough vegetarian food. We eat fish but not enough on the menu.
The cocktails were very well balanced and unique. The food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was inviting, fresh and intimate.
We had our wedding dinner here with friends and family in July. It was a great success. Everything was delicious! Meera and her team throw a great party! Thank you so much!

Good food— terrible service. Ambiance is nice and steak was perfect. Don't start your tip function at 18% if you provide no value add as a server xo
