Horrible service. I ordered on their own website and they didnt even check. I had to show her i paid and my visa for her to make me sandwiches. Waited almost another hr for her to check the order and make the order. Then i ordered avocado milkshake but she didnt have and gave me mango which i dont want but i already paid. That’s not all. The tastes of the banh mi was soooo greasy. My gosh the quality has gone down so much. Will never buy again

Dude makes his own bread and right off the bat you know the effort is going into your sandwich. Had the beef baguette 12 inch. Unreal flavor, cilantro, spice, seasoned beef and the fresh bread. Fast service and polite.

So, so, so very good. I love the fresh bread used here, makes everything taste like home. I especially enjoy the Dau Hu (tofu ban mi) which is tasty and satisfying.

Bank mi flavour is ok. They should toast the it if you’re eating in but I guess I could have asked. The filling is very little and there was an eyelash in mine.. at least the vegetables were fresh. Wouldn’t bother coming back..

I was behind schedule and hungry when I spotted Banh Mi Cali nearby. I figured, why not give it a try—even though I knew I’d end up comparing it to my go-to Vietnamese sub spot in the city. (If you’re curious, check my previous reviews.)
The bun was fresh, chewy and more Italian in nature than a true crackly fresh Viet roll. The sandwich did have that processed meat look typical of a traditional Vietnamese sub, but the meats also seemed all wrong. There were some fresh veggies in there too, but overall, it lacked flavour. At $12 for the “traditional” sub, it felt steep also—especially when I could’ve had a drink and two salad rolls at my usual place for the same price. I can appreciate that the business I speak of has a working owner and resides in a less than desirable location-clearly lower rent. Still.
I’m not trying to pit one place against another, but let’s be honest: comparing yourself to a strong benchmark for a traditional Vietnamese sub is fair game. You don’t need to match it exactly—but get close, then have additional product choices (which they do). Sadly, today’s experience just missed the mark for me. Lacked flavour, lacked value.
