The place was empty but our order still took quite a while - mostly because the guy making it was clearly glued to his phone instead of doing his job. I could see everything through the kitchen window so no excuses there. The burger was dry and lacked seasoning. Crack fries were decent but right at the end I noticed a hair at the bottom of the box. Nearly made me sick. It might be a good idea to wear hair coverings in the kitchen... I wouldn't recommend this location based on today's experience. It's disappointing since I had a great visit to their Westmount location last year. It was totally different vibe and much better quality

This unsuspecting burger joint will often surprise you with the flavours and ingredient combos. I’ve yet to try something I don’t like and they also have a monthly menu item from a local colab to try out. The odd time they might be out of a certain ingredient/meat by end of day but no big deal. Dining in is doable and gets the job done but I think most take out… though I wouldn’t recommend eating some of them like the Italian Stallion in your car unless you have lots of napkins haha

I had the Professor PB & J, a small order of fries, and a What the Fudge?! shake.
Burger was amazing. The patty was charred perfectly and very tasty. The condiments were perfect, and the bun is soft and delicious. Only (very minor) negative is the bun to meat ratio was a touch high, but I am nitpicking. I highly recommend trying this burger.
Fries were good and crispy, lightly flavoured.
Milkshake was cold, sweet, and delicious.
I don’t know how its taken me two years to eat here but I am glad I did and will definitely be back.

We first tried Backstairs Burger when ordering for delivery and it was delicious! The burgers, duck tots, and crack fries are excellent!
However, we have since stopped by the south location to pick up twice, and both times we have experienced rather poor service. After attempting to call several times with no answer, we waited to order when arriving at the location. We then rang the bell that is at the cashier with a sign to “ring for service.” We waited several minutes before an employee came out from the back to take our order. Both times that we have gone in to pick up we were greeted by employees who seemed unhappy and like they did not want to take our order or want us to be there… Both employees we have encountered have seem annoyed that we are there and have quite honestly been rather rude…
It is unfortunate because we really enjoy the food at Backstairs Burger but not the experience when going in to the location.

Place came highly recommended, we visited today got the basic b!tch burger the Fungi Baron and crack fries, it was all so tasty! The store has a cool vibe, clean, welcoming staff, will definitely be back! Thanks!
