“It's always a great experience. It's also hard to pick what you want because everything is so good. This is a genuine bakery with fresh goods and family recipes. It's much, much better than Cobs or other commercialized brands (I make it a point to try them all at least twice).

Vegetarian options: Plenty of meat-free options:
Cheese buns, cinnamon buns, loaves of bread, tarts, etc.
(Make sure you don't accidentally get the pizza or ham+cheese buns, they look the same as the regular and cheese buns.)

Parking: It's a small space but service is fast.
If you want those amazing cinnamon buns, you're best coming in early or they'll be sold out (they're that good).

Kid-friendliness: The owner is very friendly, and the glass casing in front allows kids to see the treats. The back wall of loaves though does go down far enough for curious fingers to reach, so that's something to keep in mind.

Wheelchair accessibility: A single pull-out door (average resistance), and did not see an automatic opener. There is a bell that rings when the door is moved however, and someone comes out of the back very quickly. There are also frequent customers who can help. The door is a little narrow though for a wheelchair - it'll be a tight fit I think.
The lip between the door and sidewalk is small and should be easy to roll over.“

“I've been to many Chinese bakeries in many different cities. The buns here are very good. You order at the counter and they box it for you. I prefer what they have in Hong Kong and Vancouver where the customer gets a tray and picks out their own buns but given the small space they have its understandable why they chose this mode of service. What does distract from this store is the excessive presence of the unhoused right outside their door. For the most part they leave people alone but it may make some feel uncomfortable.“

“Hands-down the best German rye bread bakery in Edmonton!Every time I get a bread order, there is weight to the bag and aroma. I quickly know I am not buying tasteless Wonderbread, and I'm about to experience truly amazing flavor, particularly the rye and the sourdough. I get a bit annoyed because they don't have any prices in their pastry section, however, everything I have tried from there has been excellent. I can highly recommend the quark cheesecake (not too sweet) and the ginger bread people. Pretzels are also a chewy and delicious treat, and we particularly like the Black Forest Rye, the Sovital, the Bavarian Rye and the Shinken Brot breads. Also note that their butter-creme is not cloyingly sweet like you'd find in other bakeries. Limited parking in front. Not sure if there is a lot or additional parking nearby. Highly worth a trip there and you won't be disappointed.“
