Although I'm not northern Chinese, their food tastes like home. This is a little gem that serves northern Chinese food, not the Americanized stuff. I've ordered here a few times as I work closeby. The prices are good and the owners/workers are friendly.

Beware: This place is really small and I think there are only two workers. You might need to be patient if there's several tables. But I do love getting takeout.

The steamed pork bun was phenomenal. Wish I got more. Got the braised pork on rice, was very filling and the mushroom soup. The mushroom soup wasn’t the best as it felt like a chicken soup with some mushrooms in it. I really enjoyed the wontons in the shrimp wonton but there was a lot of broth for the amount of wontons. Atmosphere was nice and processed was fair.

A cozy restaurant with very tasty food. Service was excellent.

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, including versions of popular dishes (eg ma po tofu)

Kid-friendliness: No fuss environment, good for kids.
