My favorite go to dish in Edmonton... The beef noodle soup. Nothing beats this place!

Amazing food. Absolutely delicous. The lady who works weekdays is super nice. The service is brutally slow some days. Very little tables. The service from the young lady working weekends is slow.
Love the food. Service can be better. Be prepared to wait if it's a busy day. Over all the food is fantastic and absolutely worth the wait.

If you’re craving authentic, street-style Shanghainese food in Edmonton, Baobao 生煎 is absolutely worth checking out. Service is friendly — the staff seem genuinely invested in making sure you’re enjoying your meal.

The best soup dumplings I’ve had in Edmonton! The dough is so fresh and flavour is delicious for such a great price.

Chili wontons were drenched. Pork cutlet fried on one side. Food was cold except for the xiaolongbao. The tables and floor were dirty. It would be more understandable if it was busy but there was only 2-3 tables occupied. Xiaolongbao was alright; big portions but slightly undercooked.

Overhyped- food was raw and the flavor was bad.

This was shockingly bad. Anyone who’s been here knows there’s only about 8 tables. When we arrived only 3 had guests the rest just have dirty plates. We were quoted a 20 minute wait by the server. She then proceeded to just kind of pace around slowly not doing much, but would run food every 5 minutes. Otherwise wasn’t doing anything. She even had a cart with dish bins (she didn’t even have to carry the dirty plates). After waiting about 15 minutes I asked her if we were just waiting for the tables to be cleaned. She said yes and that she was busy running food alone. I was just very frustrating because it wasn’t busy, no one was ordering food. We arrived 1.5 hours before close and I think she was just over working this evening. Super disappointing. We left to go elsewhere. As a fellow server myself I know that if she wanted to, she could’ve cleared those tables in 3 minutes.

The best soup dumplings in Edmonton!
Edit 2025. Went back today and it was probably the worst soup dumplings I have ever had. No flavor whatsoever hopefully they forgot to season the meat because otherwise they will not have any repeat customers and will close. Prices have gone up, food quality way down. Won't be back anytime soon

We were there around 6 on a Friday night. Didn't have to wait for a table. Service was quick even though here was only 1 server. The soup dumplings were oddly sweet, the meat floss sticky rice roll was unfortunately bland and wrapper really loosely. Was hoping there'd be soy milk but don't believe I saw it on the menu. Braised tofu noodle soup was alright, soup was flavourful. Not sure if I'd go back..
