If you’re craving authentic, street-style Shanghainese food in Edmonton, Baobao 生煎 is absolutely worth checking out. Service is friendly — the staff seem genuinely invested in making sure you’re enjoying your meal.
We were there around 6 on a Friday night. Didn't have to wait for a table. Service was quick even though here was only 1 server. The soup dumplings were oddly sweet, the meat floss sticky rice roll was unfortunately bland and wrapper really loosely. Was hoping there'd be soy milk but don't believe I saw it on the menu. Braised tofu noodle soup was alright, soup was flavourful. Not sure if I'd go back..

Love the food. Service can be better. Be prepared to wait if it's a busy day. Over all the food is fantastic and absolutely worth the wait.
