Had been to this place a couple times and I got a matcha latte today like usual. I was near the end of my drink when I felt something crunchy and spat it out and saw a bug. Food and drinks are amazing but this is absolutely disgusting. Looked like some sort of a beetle or something. I get it might’ve gotten in after it was made if it was a hot day outside but it was 0 out and I was inside the entire time; I also finished it within two hours. Needless to say I’m not going back. I had recommended this place to so many of my friends because I loved their food. My friends who tried this place out also loved it. I will be letting all of them know so they don’t come back
I’m honestly very surprised because there’s a lot of bees at this shop during summer and I thought they would’ve made sure that since they are bee-friendly there insect prevention protocol would be exemplary

I love the vibes and came here to study for the first time. The drinks were really good too and the place is very pretty and efficient! The only thing I didn’t appreciate is that I hadn’t read the sign that no outside food is allowed, and I was eating a snack (fruit from home) and a worker had stopped in her tracks and actively went infront of me and talked to her whole staff about that this isn’t a take out and was actively fuming. I didn’t appreciate that because I did get a couple drinks from here and I simply hadn’t read the sign, and she still didn’t come up to me to just simply talk to me. I just didn’t appreciate the way that interaction even played out, if she had come to me and kindly said I’d appreciate if you put your food away since no outside food is allowed then this would be fine. It was just the way she handled it. Anyways for the first time I came it was pretty good and drinks and vibes were good.

This is such a lovely and chilled out coffee house! The owner even came over to say hello and have a chat with us. Coffee was lovely with a respectful collection of gluten free cakes.

Really love the atmosphere and the service has always been positive. Beverages have a great taste and build to them, and the food tastes pretty good:) BIG fan of the decorations changing for the seasons and the local businesses being sold in-store is heartwarming.
Dietary restrictions: I don’t have a SEVERE allergy but I really love that they separate some of the pastries in containers to help with cross contamination. As well as the alternative milks available INCLUDE lactose free, I find lots of coffee locations don’t have that anymore but could just be me.
Parking: There’s 60 mins FREE parking available through the HONK app, and the LRT is a 5 min walk from the café.
I waited for 30mins on a Thursday morning they forgot my order twice made my drink to stay when I said it was to go and poured the drink in a to go cup in front of and topped it off with milk they forgot my pastry and I had to remind them about my order and tell them to warm it like they do normally I got my order and my pastry was still cold!!!!!! I paid $15 never returning again! Not worth it.
