Undisputed best tartare in the city. And the staff are amazing. Makes you feel right at home. I love hearing all of the stories the staff have to share.

An Edmonton classic. I go once a month for the tartar and the shnitz ... Always solid, always tasty. It's downtown, so maybe if you want to park super close to the restaurant, go to a drive thru ... Then you can actually EAT in your car. Noticed some complaining about the service, which I don't get. Should the staff fell8te you while you order? Holy smokes folks, get a grip! LOL

Not the best area of town but this place was recommended to us and boy was it worth it! I’ve never had a steak tartare in my life that comes even close to this one. The bread, the garlic, unbelievable. I would drive to Edmonton just to eat it again. With I had taken a photo before devouring it!

RESERVATION!!!
Make reservation in advance!
We have been to Czech, and have very good impression on the country and the food. We planed to arrange our last dinner in Edmonton at Bistro Praha, unfortunately, there was no vacancy since we didn't make reservation.
Our meal here was absolutely fantastic. We had all of the courses - salad, appetizer, mains, drinks, and dessert - and every single thing was incredible. Our waitress Martina is a paragon of quality service and the ambiance was impressively calm, homey, and all around stunning. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!

Had a lovely meal with my partner and her dad. Schnitzel was great and the atmosphere and service were superb.
We went because Leon Draisaitl said in an interview that they had good schnitzel. The food was excellent. The wiener schnitzel and potato salad were stellar. I also definitely recommend paying the extra for the house-made sauerkraut. Service was excellent and making a reservation was an easy and friendly experience. It was a great dinner to have before watching the boys win their first playoff game.
It was fine. Coming from an Eastern European background, we know schnitzel. It was okay. It was a full and overcrowded restaurant, with a small space. I am happy they were so full, but it was 22 outside, and we were in a crowded small space with little noticeable ventilation. They don't have ac on weekends we were told. Some of our party left early as they got ill from the heat and noise. Service was good. The strudel was amazing! I'd go back for dessert after theatre.
Great spot, non complicated food with decent service and great value. Best schnitzel I have had in years.
Can't believe I have seen this place for almost over a decade and haven't gone till today. The roasted duck was phenomenal. It's located in the heart of downtown but unfortunately privy to its surroundings however the interior is elegant. Worth going to this historic local Czech restaurant for an occasion!
