It’s an almost beautiful place. I didn’t like my drink. It wasn’t warm enough. My cake was too sweet. The worst part was that while we were there, they started mopping the floor!! It was 7:45 PM and not even close to their closing. It caused a bad smell and a lot of unnecessary noise.

I've found my perfect escape at Block 1912 on Whyte Ave - this charming European-style café hits different from your typical coffee spot. The vintage furniture and moody lighting create this incredible vibe that makes me feel like I'm worlds away from Edmonton. Their house-made desserts are absolutely incredible (the gelato is my weakness), and their hot chocolate topped with real whipped cream is pure comfort in a cup.

You come once just to check it off your bucket list and you’ll never need to come back again. Despite the unique atmosphere (which I loved) both the drinks and the food are mediocre and overpriced, and if tourist trap was a cafe in Edmonton it would be this one.

I was just here few minutes ago just for a take out order, And the cashier/server refused to serve me, she said that she has already closed the till and not taking any more orders/not serving anyone, I mean I drove from millwoods to whyte ave in the severe road condition and she refused to serve me at 11:40 pm, store supposed to close at 12am and door was open, “Open” sign was ON This is ridiculous!!!! Response to your reply:- Sorry to say but the cashier is clearly lying, I never asked her to give me any grilled sandwich, I went there specifically for a cake/pastry which you guys have displayed at the cash area, and she clearly mentioned that she couldn’t serve me anything as the till is closed, I offered to pay cash she refused that as well And just to be clear, I go to your restaurant every week and I am a very old customer of yours, This has never happened before. No customer should be dealt like this.

A fantastic spot in a lively area, surrounded by vibrant streets filled with people and a welcoming atmosphere. This café offers a wide selection of cakes, delicious drinks, and excellent beer. We felt very comfortable thanks to the friendly staff and the cozy interior.

Three stars for me, Four stars for my husband. I decided to rate this 3 because I hated my drink and it was also expensive!
My husband ordered a White Ganache Mocha and Strawberry Cheesecake. His drink was okay as per him. I tasted it and I wouldn’t pay for that coffee. For his cheesecake, he said that it was good!
As for my order, I ordered a Ganache Hot Chocolate and Chocolate Marquise. The pastry was delish! As for the hot chocolate, it was so sweet and it tasted like powdered hot chocolate from a cheap brand. There wasn’t any depth in it. It was like chocolate-flavoured milk. It was disappointing because I was craving hot chocolate, like that was the reason why I looked for a cafe and they were the only one that was open.
Pastries were good, but drinks were below average.
