They have extremely good velvet cake, a excellent chocolate and a pretty good seatin to watch all the people around. its good to do some work, read a novel or just chill in general. recommended

Block 1912 is definitely a unique spot on Whyte Ave with a cozy, artsy atmosphere that stands out from the usual café scene. The food menu is quite limited, but honestly, I don’t expect a huge selection from a café. Personally, I go for the pot pie—it’s my go-to and always satisfying.
They also have a wide selection of desserts, though after trying a few, I found most of them not quite to my taste. The vibe, however, is usually great; there’s often nice music playing, which makes it a pleasant place to hang out or catch up with friends.
That said, the biggest downside is the pricing. Compared to other options along Whyte, Block 1912 is definitely on the expensive side, which can make it harder to justify as a regular spot.
Overall, it’s a cool, one-of-a-kind café that’s worth checking out, especially for the atmosphere and a pot pie, but be prepared to pay a bit more than you would elsewhere

A huge variety of sweet and savory options; they make sure to state ingredients, in case of allergies! I ordered a blueberry scone with an iced Americano: the cashier was very accommodating and kind when she told me they told me they didn't have the milk option I preferred, and made sure to check with me on the level of milk they added afterwards 🙏 the atmosphere is beautiful, rustic and homey. Can't wait to see what this place is like in the winter!

This place is actually so amazing. The interior is spacious with ample room for privacy at each table. The music is actually in the background; not too loud, and usually cozy instrumental jazz. Lighting is super calming and unobtrusive. Service is friendly and there's not too much noise from behind the counter either. The barista's always make sure they got the order right, and are willing to help with any issues. So nice and chill; a real gem of a place.
