Hands down the best bakery in Edmonton! Not only is it conveniently located in our neighborhood, the quality and service is incredibly consistent. We always look forward to picking up our sourdough and sweet treats from Bonton, and saying “hi” to Mark (he’s just the best)! So grateful to have a local bakery so close to us that really puts their love and care into everything they create.
We’re obsessed with Bon Ton. The hits in our house are the morning buns (best I’ve had since living in California), sour cherry danishes, pretzels, and cinnamon loaf… but everything is good! I love stopping in for a chai and some bread and pastries while out running errands. The take a number system keeps things running smoothly and the staff are always so wonderful.
We got the sticky bun ring to bring home in our own reusable container. The super nice and helpful guy behind the counter noticed our container and didn’t think us weird at all for bringing it. My kid loves the sticky buns so much, he’s willing to overlook the pecans and raisins in it.
The vanilla mille-feuille is delicious — creamy and oh so flaky — though the top was a bit sweet. Would be great with coffee to cut the sweetness.
