Today I visited Boston Pizza in Albany. I asked my server whether the French onion soup was gluten free. She wasn’t certain, so she checked with the kitchen manager, who assured us that it was completely gluten free.
After waiting approximately 25 minutes, the soup arrived as a bowl of plain broth with no onions and two pieces of wheat bread floating in it.
Given that the restaurant was nearly empty at the time, only myself and two family members were dining. This error was especially concerning. Due to the seriousness of gluten-related dietary needs, this mistake caused me to lose confidence in ordering anything labeled as “gluten friendly” from the menu. Won’t be back here.

She kept the beer icy cold and magically refilled before it ever hit half-empty. Her upbeat vibe and lightning-fast service turned a simple drink stop into a seriously great time.
