The Boxer was our best restaurant experience in a while. The scallop dish was excellent, my wife wanted to lick the plate! Our server (Robyn) was delightful ! She knew the history of the building in Old Strathcona, as well as the story of the restaurant She added to the charm and ambiance of the place. 5 stars for The Boxer and Robyn !!!

We had an awesome experience at Boxer! The drinks were outstanding, and our server, Matthew Van Buuren, was fantastic - he truly made the experience memorable. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. We'll definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem 👌👌. Recommended from a friend and we are so happy for that. The atmosphere is excellent as we loved the ambiance and the food is next level. The best short ribs we had ever had Highly recommend to check it out as you will not be disappointed

Went on a quiet, cold Wednesday evening. Was so cozy inside and staff were really lovely. Drinks were very well made and there are lots I want to go back and try. Food options are good with a really high quality. Really looking forward to coming back!

Everything from the food to the service and experience was absolutely fantastic! The food was exquisite, we had the sablefish and the stuffed chicken linguine and they were made to perfection. Highly recommended!

My future mother-in-law recently became obsessed with Boxer's pizza. To help fuel her obsession, I asked on Open Table in advance if our server would make up a fake award about their pizza they recently won. As a harmless prank, I wanted it to be outrageous but maybe believable. Boy did they deliver. Our server shared they recently won an award for “Best Pizza With Crust from the Edmonton Ukrainian Society” 😂 My future mother-in-law was so confused but it was just believable enough that when we revealed the prank 20 minutes later it was hilarious. Thank you Boxer for the phenomenal pizza and a memorable evening!

Second time coming here. My boyfriend loves the duck and I love the short ribs. The flavours compliment each other so well. however, the mushroom risotto was delicious I do think the mashed potato’s that they used to have worked better with the flavour of the beef, allowing the beef to be the highlight flavour of the dish, rather than the mushroom and arugula.

The short ribs were so tender you could shred it with a simple press of your fork.

We will be back again!

The cocktails were outstanding and there was a great selection to choose from! The food was delicious and well-prepared, and the service was prompt and pleasant. Cool atmosphere too, particularly the bar. We'll be back for sure!

I really do like this place. It’s a little pricey, but I like going there. The drinks are great and unique, the food is good and the service is amazing.

Atmosphere is nice, and drinks were tasty. Very slow service from the kitchen. Meals took more than 45 min to come out. The food itself was good, but wish the service was more efficient.

Excellent service , nice wine/beer selection and the food was outstanding. The bison steak was tender, the scallops were sweet and spicy and the short rib was decedent.

Excellent food. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing cocktails. The server is knowledgeable and makes great recommendations on drinks and food. I had their Bone Marrow Butter , it was sooooo good. I would recommend making reservations. It can get pretty busy , especially on the weekend.

Had reservations. The hostess .. loose term ... messed up our seating twice. Very dark inside.. poor lighting...loud music and not good .. meals were ok at best. Our server was good tho .. altho forgot some asks we had .. oh well. Won't go back. Rge rd ia way better for the same price point
