Boxer - Albertan Kitchen & Bar

We had a great meal and drinks at Boxer! They have a nice variety of options on the menu from pizzas to appies and mains. Something for any occasion and budget. The cocktails are a must try! So many options! Service was friendly and the ambiance is great!

Burger 4/10 Pasta came smothered with cheese which was not mentioned on the menu. Mussels were saltier than the dead salt sea. Service was slow and inattentive. Great space though.

We tried this place for the first time and were not disappointed. The european style patio is super chilled and this place has a cocktail menu that is surely the envy of most of its peers. The new roof top patio is among the best in the city and will be a real treat when it is fully complete - it's state of the art. The service is excellent and the staff made the experience feel 5 star with their attentiveness. Overall a real treat and one we wish to repeat very soon. Ryan & Lorraine

Sat outside and it was lovely. Good service. Delicious cocktails. Food was good overall with some dishes better (pizza) than others (liver).

Very disappointing experience. Service and food were underwhelming to say the least. Too bad as the ambience and bar itself has so much potential. Will not be back.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and a genuinely fun non-alcoholic drinks menu (I love that this is a thing now!) made for a wonderful night out. We will be back for sure!!

Food was good, but a very very small menu....tons of alcohol choices. I guess that's why it's located off of Whyte Avenue.

This was my 4th time at Boxer. The other three times the food and menu choices were amazing. Last night I was so unimpressed with the changes to the menu. I legit couldn't choose a main, because they were all so boring. I understand restaurants change their menu options, but to go from delicious and varied sides like a mushroom farro (which was AMAZING) and risotto to mashed potatoes and truffle polenta is really a step down. I mean every dish, except steak offer a mushy side. The vegetarian dish was eggplant, another mushy vegetable. The braised boar cheek appetizer comes with a delicious charred/sautéed cabbage, which would have made for a more interesting choice for a vegetarian dish - almost used as a pasta alternative or something like that. We ended up having appies at Boxer and walking to Pip at the end of the block for a delicious dinner. I was pretty disappointed with Boxer this visit. Hoping next menu change will offer better options like they did before this menu.

We sat outside and had a very friendly attentive server. The watermelon Caprese was very fresh. The food portions were generous. I had the pork belly appetizer as my main. We observed our server contributing food to a person in need on the street and were moved by their compassion.

Our food was great but our server wasn't the best. We ordered bread as soon as we sat down, before drinks and waited over 20 minutes for the bread while our drinks came in a few minutes of being ordered. Our server also was slow to check on us and got our bills confused which was frustrating.

It was okay, not special. We didn't have pizza, but they looked good. Only two desserts available on the menu. I think if you're into cocktails, it would be a good choice.

We had a great time the crew shared many of the dishes family style. Even though the staff level was low, a Tuesday night and more folks than expected I would guess the service was great. Would highly recommend Boxers for any groups of two or more. It is not a place for the single business traveller, or to catch the playoff game the environment and set-up is not conducive to sport watching or singles.

Fantastic ambiance, a beautiful little restaurant tucked into a corner off whyte Ave, just lovely!! Excellent food, wonderful service, absolutely delicious cocktails!! We had a fantastic time!!

Went for Mothers's Day Buffet brunch! Was a lovely time! Daniel served us he was wonderful! Have been many times, will be back many times !

My friends have never been there before and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal choices. A variety of main courses were enthusiastically enjoyed by all.
