Ordered two steaks, once was medium well. It came well done, waiter said it’s tricky and said even after cooking it keeps cooking. I’ve never heard of such, they just over cooked it and didn’t wanna own up to it.

Servers/staff very nice, great service, and I liked the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the food was bland and overpriced for what you get and the quality you get.
My husband and I had lunch there and spent over 100$ for mac and cheese, a chicken Caesar wrap, and 2 drinks.

Food was adequate. Not great and little to no seasoning. Wife and I both agreed the lunch wasn't worth the price listed. Disappointing first experience.
Staff was excellent.

My boyfriend and I went for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and our experience was just fantastic. We shared a few different plates, a Caesar salad, the Mac and cheese, and the short rib plate. Along with a couple martinis and old fashions. I would recommend all of these, and definitely ask for Lisa. Lisa made our night so enjoyable, she was a wonderful server. We’ll be back again.

I visited this restaurant last weekend to celebrate a special birthday occasion. While the atmosphere was pleasant, I found the pricing to be on the higher side, especially considering that some of the premium cuts of meat did not include complimentary sides. Additionally, I observed that the chef handled the food directly without gloves in front of diners, which raised some concerns about food safety. Although the service was satisfactory, our overall experience did not meet our expectations for fine dining. Based on this experience, we are unlikely to return, and I would not consider it the top steakhouse in Edmonton.
Our server was unreal. Food was amazing and we even got a complementary espresso at the end of the night. 10 out of 10 would go back again worth every penny!
Great place to grab a bite before an event at Rogers. Not cheap eats but prices on par with the quality of food. Serviced by Lisa was top notch. Vibe is loud and energetic.
Lukas was excellent with the service. My client really enjoyed the steak and sides. Lisa stopped by to say hello and have a chat. Another great night despite the copper and blue not showing up. See you next month after the Olympic break.
Perfect noise level (even with a huge collection of Oilers fans in the common area just outside). The food was delicious. I couldn't resist the Mac and cheese with chicken added and some lovely cocktails. Some great company with delicious food, cannot go wrong.
I believe our server was Jeremy. Please forgive me if I didn't remember correctly, but I wanted to compliment his demeanor and patience and that he didnt wait until I had just taken a bite every time to ask how things were tasting etc. lol 😆
Its pretty pricey, but if you want to go somewhere memorable, this would be a great option!

Restaurantji Recommends
Lucas was our server and he was amazing !! Left such a lasting impression and one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. Food and drinks were great as well, Would definitely recommend Braven.
The best meat I ever had in Canada. Only thing I'd suggest to change is the music volume (was a bit too loud)

One of the best meals out we've had in a long time. Service was great, food was delicious.
Went on a Sunday and they stopped serving brunch at 1130 which is strange for a restaurant in a hotel and I could understand if it looked like a single person had dined there that morning but I think we were the first ones there.
I really wish the food was good as it’s a beautiful spot but my goodness it has just missed the mark everytime (been 4 times as we often have family stay at the JW from out of town). The food is truly just not well made. don’t even think they use salt and peppers on their dishes. And let’s talk about the prices! Insanity. I’d sooner go to cactus club where the food is fresher and the bill would be 1/5 the size, or the keg and get a quality steak meal for once again, less cost.
Servers aren’t super pleasant, they act a bit like it’s a Michelin star restaurant and we should be grateful to even be there.
The best part of the meal was the French fries :(

The food was great - drinks were delayed and got served with the food - server wasn't the friendliest and barely said a word. 4/5 because the restaurant and food was great. Just need better servers.
