Fish and chips are very disappointing for the price that they charge. My 1 piece of cod was greasy and the fries cold. I will stick with Joey..

Old and needs deep cleaning. You can feel the grease in the air in this place. Needs full renovation. Appears to be a place that is past its prime. Food okay but greasy. Tables, floors, walls all grimey.

Ordered a family meal for $80.00 but the portion of chips were very small. 4 portions seemed as 2 portions. They have definitely cut back on the chips and increased the priced. The chips were not proper British chips, they were Cdn. Frozen fries fried again in oil. This is why the so called "chips" are hard and rotten!

More of a to my taste thing. Found the breading a bit thick for me. Nice and crispy. Not worth the same price as a meal at LaRonde and that's the price range.
Bought the fries and gravy well if you like thin gravy this is you're place didn't like the fries were wrapped in 2 30 inch x 30 inch peices of paper guess they do allow little stirophom containers so dipping you're fries is the key no mixing gravy over all which sucks for a cancer recovering person sorry 1st time there for me and last time enjoy all those that it doesnt matter to them

It was my first visit. The food was well prepared, calamari, fish and fish nuggets had a subtle flavoring with a very crispy batter, but not queasy. The clam chowder was generous with a very good selection of seafood. Again, not overly salted that there was a good taste of seafood. The chips were soft rather than a crispy one, which was surprising and in contrast to the other fried offerings. The coleslaw that accompanied the fried cheese was creamy with the right consistency; very refreshing to offset all the fried items. The decor is adequate with posters of the Beatles and Liverpool harbour. Food is clearly the focus. Service is almost cafeteria style. You place your order before seating yourself. Staff brings orders to your table. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely a family friendly restaurant. We ordered five items. Take home was paper wrapped, a reminder of days gone by when fish and chips were wrapped in newspaper.

For a restaurant that advertises gluten free for those that have dietary allergies (large outdoor signage and online), it was very disappointing to arrive there and be told that they are not serving gluten free.We arrived for lunch mid afternoon yesterday, Good Friday. The restaurant was not overly busy at all, lots of available seating. We were told since it is the busiest day of the year, they were not making any gluten free options. I understand it is more work to prepare and make gluten free options. But they should not advertise for gluten free if they can't follow through with it.
