Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

While shopping at West Edmonton Mall our family decided that should have some seafood for dinner, so we ended up eating at Bubba Gump. Since we were a large group we had to wait for about 10 minutes before we got a table. The waiter quickly arrived with menus and water for all. Food arrived within a few minutes of ordering. Everything we ordered from soups and dinner items were all delicious. The children menu all under $10. The kids loved receiving their meals in paper boats. The restaurant decor was lovely Definitely a must visit next we are next at WEM.

The service was very slow. It wasn’t even busy. No sides plates. They didn’t come when the sign was “red” aka need service. Food came out cold, expensive for what you get. Not worth it

45 minutes after ordering, our food finally arrived, by then the kids patience has weaned. Don't order the jambalaya, it's not flavorful like it's supposed to be.

I was just there this evening, I had the worst experience for my first experience. I was even lied to by my server. I would never go back again. Management is surely lacking.

I found the food very subpar, my server or the management does not know how to perform customer service.

My plate was hot but my food was cold, but yet I was told that there was a back up in the kitchen. Waited for 45 minutes to get cold food on a hot plate. The shrimp dish I ordered was barely even warm. They decided to replace it. Couldn't get any servers attention. They claim that they were backed up due to an influx of orders. However, most of the tables were turning when my party and I decided to sit down.

I've been in the restaurant business for many years and I have never seen such a lack of professionalism. By the time I was given a proper dish The rest of my party were 3/4 done their food if not completely finished before mine even reached the table. No refills were offered, more than one occasion. I noticed our server even knowing that our food is backed up to be chatting with a co-worker laughing and having a good time rather than actually checking in and reassuring their customers.

Manager never even came over, they had claimed that had to steal from another table to get me my food so that they can make the other table wait, there was maybe 10 tables occupied by the time my food reached me.

On top of all of it, so my party waited 45 minutes and I had to wait closer to an hour for food, yet never had any communication from management, server just gave lip service, while still expecting you to pay full price for horrible service and a horrible experience with subpar food. I will never again visit any bubba Gump restaurants specifically this one.

Located in the West Edmonton Mall (the only one in Canada apparently), we had a fantastic time and enjoyed both the service and the food very much. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the restaurant’s history and quizzed us on Forest Gump. I had no idea they ever made a restaurant in 1998 - two years after the movie had come out.

Pricing is on par with most novelty restaurants. However, surprisingly the food was actually fantastic. Topping it off was the atmosphere of the restaurant. We felt like we were eating at an attraction normally found at Universal Studios or Disney. Ironically, the tab came out cheaper than some local restaurants in our neck of the woods which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Definitely worth going regardless if you are a fan of the movie or not. Perfect for families, office parties, or just doing something different for your next date night (watch the movie before or after).

Went to Bubba Gump's for the first time for lunch yesterday. Had the crab & shrimp rolls with fries. Rolls were delish with fresh crab & shrimp, crunchy celery on soft, fluffy bread. And the fries! Wow, so good! Better than NY Fries, Swiss Chalet, McD's & basically everywhere else. Server Brandon was very attentive & just a really nice guy. Great place!

This was my first visit to Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Co. and it was a fun dining experience. It is a very lively atmosphere in a very unique setting. Although the service was a bit slow, our server continued to check in, and give us updates as to how our meal was progressing. She even entertained us with a game of Forrest Gump movie trivia. She was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, answering questions and making recommendations. The food was fantastic! We ordered Jenny’s Surf and Surf, Of Course We Have Scampi, Shrimper’s Heaven, and the Crab and Shrimp Boil. All our meals were delicious and the portion sizes were very good. We ended our visit to Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Co. with a trip to the gift shop! Overall, a very fun dining experience. I highly recommend if you are visiting the West Edmonton Mall.

The food was very tasty. The fish was fresh and the nacho chips very crisp. The macaroni was very cheesy which my daughter loved. The service was great and the environment was clean. Clean washrooms too. You get the keep the glasses too from a few selected drinks.

Our server Thea was amazing, the food was really good but she did an excellent job making sure our first time was a great experience. Will be coming back for sure, the garlic shrimp appetizer was amazing.
