Buffet Royale Carvery West

Went here with a large group that weren't the best behaved but the staff was professional, friendly and extremely welcoming. I wish they has some shrimp dishes available but overall the food was delicious for a mid afternoon buffet. I say YES!!!!

The entry looked nice, and for the $39.99 per person price tag I expected a good buffet. We waited for a LONG time to be seated. They just kept walking past us and not even acknowledging us. The one worker looked like he was a supervisor as he was wearing a collared shirt, looked at us several times, but never even said hi or we will be right with you. I’ve never spit so many different items out of my mouth. The Mac and cheese was utterly disgusting. It was soggy, and like mush. As soon as it tried it I literally gagged and spit it out on my plate. The meat is mostly gristle and bone, very little actual meat. It was very tough, and near impossible to cut. They brand themself as a carvery. They had roast beef and garlic coil processed sausage. The beef had an almost earthy flavor like a mushroom, but worse. The sausage was just a typical coil you buy at Walmart. They also make it difficult to actually get that meat, they have it behind a guard, where the employee has to cut it for you. They don’t staff anyone there, so you have to go find someone to cut it for you. The corn on the cob, the cob was brown on the inside and crazy soggy. We asked for a high chair, and it’s VERY obvious it has not been cleaned in months. Honestly, save your money, go somewhere else.

Worst foot I have ever had. Wish I ate McDonald’s instead, food was cold, dry, hard and not worth the money we paid. Will never return.

The buffet Royal on 95th is absolutely disgusting,when there when I first moved to Edmonton and didnt notice until one day I checked my plate and found out it was dirty small particles of food were dried on and the dishwasher obviously didnt do a very good job of cleaning,so I checked out more plates and all were dirty,I cleaned my own plate and left,the food was good and the servers were good,the manager was upset and I told her about it,and she felt the plates and sure enough removed a bunch of plates,was told to leave came back,and tried again same results,and was told I'm banned the restaurant in sherwood park is much better and clean I will be reporting them to the BBB AND TO HEALTH CANADA,DONT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT ON 95TH ST,EDMONTON

Decided to go here tonight for my son’s 14th birthday. It’s been years and for good reasons! Went there on a whim knowing what it was like the last time we went years ago! We sure learnt our lesson- once again we were disappointed. I do have to say not a lot has changed over the years. The food is mediocre and not very appetizing to say the least. We figured maybe there’s been some changes or improvements but that is not the case at all. It’s just not for me or my family. We acquire a much more delectable taste. Paid around $300 for a group of 6, who hardly were able to even finish the first plate. Would have much rather preferred a steak house. I understand some people love it but it’s gonna be a NO for me and mine from the day forward. I wish we would’ve read the reviews as I have to agree with most! Like I said went on whim as my son was undecided on where to go. There is variety however could be way better! The staff were okay, buddy at the front was weird & came off as rude.

Every time there's something to celebrate me and my family always choose to celebrate it at buffet royal.

Absolutely discusting, do not recommend at all. Save your money and go else where. Made excuses for the chemical taste in the coffee.

Got ther 2 late so the food was sitting for awhile, other then that, the rice was my favourite.

Pretty great buffet, lots of selection. Western and Chinese, along with other varieties. Even a chocolate fountain with fruit pieces. The food I tried was quite good quality.
