Food is dry and the cost is way too high. The various selections are awesome, but the quality of food is just awful
Visiting from out of Province and was recommended to go here. Needless to say that was a big mistake and a waste of money. Nothing was hot, not even luke warm!! Chicken Balls you could barely cut through them they were that so dried out. Fries, mashed potatoes all dried out. I spoke to waitress and expressed our concerns so she sent the manager over, again we told him that food was not hot at all. we didnt even finish 1 plate of food, let alone go back for more. He did ask if there was anything he could prepare for us, but as I said, we came here for the buffet and selection so unless he was going to cook a bit of everything, then it kind of defeats the purpose. I asked if he would do do something with our bill which he said yes, so ok I was satisfied with that until I got the bill, we basically were discounted $6 each, just over the cost of a fountain pop. My Brother in Law paid the bill and I went back to manager telling him that i didn't feel that was sufficient discount considering nobody really ate. He said that was all he was allowed to provide, so I asked to speak with someone else. He gave me Head Offices business card. As I was leaving, I noticed the Office was right next door, so I went in, I spoke to a gentleman who took my information as he was not the person who dealt with complaints. Fast forward 2 days, I gave them 24 hours to contact me which I believe is sufficient time for anyone to get back to you. I called the number on the business card, asked to speak with someone that handles complaints, and once again that person wasn't in!!! Again I started to explain my situation and the gentleman said oh yes, I need to get your address to send out some coupons. please tell me what coupons are going to do for me as I already stated we are from out of province. He asked what I wanted...I said I woukd like a refund....to which he said he would text someone. That was Friday morning, now its Saturday and ive heard nothing, and considering it's the weekend, I dont expect to hear from them as like most corporate offices they are closed. I leave Monday to return home, so I guess my complaint fell on deaf ears. Definitely do not recommend this Buffet.
Food is not great the quality is very poor and quantity is limited. It's to expensive for nothing . Service is poor lacking experience and decency. I advise my friends and people I even don't know not to try Royal buffet because it's Waste of money and time.

This is the worse place ever!! Dried out food, trays were emptied, not refilled, no taste at all. Over priced, $100 for 2 people. Awful awful food and place never come here again
Was not good bit into sour shrimp not the good sour had to spit it out food did not taste right tasted old i would nt go here again should od checked reviews looks like it used to be good
Great selection and variety of food....but Everything was very bland other than the self serve soft serve ice cream was good....and who puts red chili pepper seeds on a rack of ribs. Could have been the one saving grace but no. May try again one day to see if it was just a fluke but I mean everything from the breakfast selection to the Chinese food to the pork ribs and roast was not flavorful or stale.

We arrived at the restaurant around 1:50 PM, and while the waiter seated us promptly, he didn’t provide any guidance on the buffet. You could hear a pin drop it was so quiet. Like awkward. After a short wait, he encouraged us to help ourselves. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet expectations. It felt like it had been out since the restaurant opened. The sauces were dried out, the noodles were hard, and the ham was so overcooked that it resembled jerky on one side. When I tried the ribs, they crumbled in my mouth, making it necessary to spit them out.
I’m not particularly picky; I've lived in many places and have had my fair share of meals. We spent about 15 minutes there without anyone checking on the buffet, and after waiting a while to ask about replenishing the food, no one came. After spending $54.55, we left feeling disappointed and headed back to our Airbnb to cook instead. It’s disheartening when you've been looking forward to a buffet for months, only to be let down.

The food was horrendous, very bland. Tried 2 plates worth of different items, did not finish either. The selection was very poor. At almost $40 per person, we will definitely not be going back.

Good selection of food. Prime rib was good. Shrimp and scallops overcooked and rubbery. Do NOT use the chocolate fountain. Kids were sticking things in the chocolate fountain, lick it off and recoat the item. Kids spooning chocolate from fountain, eating it and then sticking spoon back in fountain again to get more chocolate. We found out that if you insert your credit card they charge you extra for paying with a credit card, but if you tap there is no extra fee. They dont bother telling this to you. They also do not accept debit cards.

Ok, leading with the important thing, I got back to our hotel and got ill. I want to immediately clarify that this was not due to food quality, but rather I tried just about every food they had, even just a bite, and there ended up being a culture war in my stomach. The low rating on the food here was because there is no one of two foods that are good enough to go back for.
The high points were that the service was absolutely fantastic. Plates were promptly removed, drinks were topped up, frequent offers to help with anything, I've eaten at 4* locations where the service was nowhere as good. Super family friendly.
There was a large birthday party going on in a dedicated room with lots of cheering and singing, but not obnoxiously so, it added a fun vibe to the place.
I wouldn't come back myself, but if was with a crowd I'd come along but would be pickier about food conflicts, lol
