Great food.Mountain vegetables and beef bulgogi can't be better. The price has changed up, but the quality has stands.

Shrinkflation meets price increases galore here!!! We’ve enjoyed the food from Bulgogi House for years and were regular customers. BUT now they have increased prices (way beyond inflation) and they’ve drastically reduced their quantity. It is a complete rip off. Bean sprouts, kimchi, rice and Goondak should NOT cost the same as a 5 star restaurant. Value for money?? …. No longer worth visiting this establishment NOR getting take out.

The food is very tasty but the portion size is abysmal. What you see in the photo is over $100 and it wasn’t even sufficient to feed 3 small eaters. I can’t believe we paid this much for this little.

Came here for my Grammas birthday. Very accommodating for a reservation for 12 people. Wish they would give larger bottles/cups for water. Kept having to wave down someone to bring us more.Other than that the food was very good!

I have been going to bulgogi house for 30 years. We used to order and go into the restaurant monthly.Yesterday during our dine in experience everything was fine, the food was good but I could not believe how small the portions were. We got a tiny bit of bean sprouts and kimchi, no white rice. The bibimbap was tiny and just enough for two people as a side. It used to feed 3-4 easily. What a shame that a staple in Edmonton is clearly losing business because of their portion size. I really wish the owners would consider the fact that by adding a 1/2 cup more of food on the plate would lead to a lot of retention and loyal customer base they had for such a long time. Or just the fact that giving a side of white rice, kimchi and bean sprouts would be even a step in the right direction. I used to crave even their plain white rice which was included and now on top of prices going up you have to pay.Would love to say I’m coming back here but I don’t know if I can justify the cost.

January 11, 2023 Lunch time. Over the years we loved going to that place.. food mostly the same taste and presentation time after time, other than the portions size diminishing. The service has dropped substantially probably due to cost cutting and using inexperienced staff. The rustic setting is poorly maintained and hides poor cleaning standards. Used the men’s bathroom no hot water only ice cold water ?? So reached under and turned on the hot water tap.. another cost cutting attempt. We first selected a table away from windows as if it was feeling somewhat cold in the restaurant. As we were looking around after ordering our food and noticing the degrading state of the rustic decor, I happened to look up and saw the flaking ceiling paint that was threatening to fall on our table and on our food (see photo). At the same moment I saw something green moving on the can of pop that had just been put in front of me. (See photo). Took the bug to the kitchen and told them we had moved to a moved to a different table.. she acknowledged knowing about the ceiling and stated someone was coming in the afternoon to fix it. The table was left accessible to incoming clients and time after time they were warned by other customers to the situation and all decide to move. All in all this place is now a disgrace.

I have been going here for 40 years And have always been One of my favorite restaurants Ordered For Christmas Three years in a row And the price went up 50% from the previous year and the portions have gotten smaller mentioned this to the owner and was told if I didn't like it I didn't have to come back so I haven't and I won't neither will anybody I talk to but that's usually what happens when the kids take it over PS Miss Shirley

I used to frequent Bul Go Gi House when I was working and some evenings.I usually would go for lunch and have the chicken special. You would get a large piece of BBQ chicken. A full plate of mixed vegetables and rice, a bowl of each Bean Sprouts and Kim Chi for $14.00You also used to get a 2L jug of water with ice in it.I was out and about yesterday and thought I would stop in for a bite to eat. This place used to be a great place to eat. Excellent food, great service, decent portions for a fair price.I was very disappointed. Poor service from start to finish.Once I was served my food by the cook I never saw another person until I waited at the till to pay my bill.I ordered the chicken stir fry. I was served a plate of mixed vegetables with a few pieces of chicken that I had to search for.A very small bowl of barely warm rice, 10 small bean sprouts and 2 small pieces of Kim Chi on a small dish. 4 ounces of water in a small plastic glass. All for $20.00.I must say the food was still tasty and good. Only bad thing is I had to have something to eat when I got home as I was still hungry. It is very sad that restaurants now have no conscience and have no problem charging double and serve you just enough to take your money with no service.I will miss this place.

So I was here recently and noted I had originally given 3 stars. While initial experience was mediocre, it had been great since. And people i have taken here also enjoy it. Love the bi bim bap in a stone bowl. Food is a 5 star, but it is such an old place in need of a reno. But, I will keep going for the food
