Our friend in Edmonton recommended for us to try some authentic Vietnamese food at this Co Chin Saigon Restaurant. We decided to drop by for lunch as we were hungry for some Pho Noodles. We ordered Papaya Salad (shredded green papaya topped with roasted peanuts… this has fresh flavours and crunchy textures with sweet savoury dressing and chillies on the side), Pho Noodle Soup (medium rare beef, brisket and meatballs with freshly prepared broth), Spicy Bun Bo Pho Noodles (spicy beef noodle soup with sliced beef brisket, beef shank, pork boneless rolled shank, cube of congealed pork blood [we requested not to have this item in our soup] and topped with spicy lemon grass sauce. We also ordered Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (grilled lemongrass pork, homemade pork spring rolls with cucumbers, lettuce and pickle, roasted peanuts and green onions). Everything tasted delicious and appetizing!

Good food, things I don't always see at other places and their menu is small so that helps not being paralyzed with a 50 item menu and end up ordering the same thing you usually do.The staff are great and attentive and allowed a group of us to stay until closing time.

The place is located super close to tent city and hope mission so you will see a ton of suspicious behaviour so please be advised. This place is a bit of a hidden gem as it serves authentic Vietnamese food. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue and I’ve never had a place serve it to me with congealed pork blood which was nice! Presentation is a 10/10 and the taste was nice and refreshing. Atmosphere inside was nice but the service wasn’t good as we weren’t greeted or checked up on (thats how you know the food is good).

The restaurant charged the cancellation of an online order. So paid for nothing.

Family run and with unique Vietnamese dishes not found anywhere else in Edmonton. Tuesday rice rolls are GAS and can’t wait to try the Wednesday specials !! Satay and Bún bò are done really well here. Don’t sleep on their egg coffee or the salted foam !!

Best Vietnamese food in Edmonton. They offer a number of unique traditional dishes that you would mostly only find in Vietnam. The quality of ingredients is very high, it's all very fresh. So you might pay a little more than another 'noodle' restaurant. But the quality is so much better. Their pho is excellent - such a rich broth, perfect on a cold day. For me, there is now really only one Vietnamese restaurant to keep going to - and that Co Chin Saigon.

My friend has been craving Vietnamese food. She hasn't been here before. Both our families made a spontaneous decision to give this place a try. The risk was worth it because we LOVED it! She said this is her new favourite place for pho!We shared all the dishes family style. We ordered the weekend specials. Everything tasted wonderful! The service was fairly prompt. We had two toddlers and a baby between us and no one had a meltdown while waiting. Both the toddlers enjoyed the food! The restaurant is modern and tastefully decorated inside. There are plenty of tables. The building is located downtown. There isn't a ramp to enter the restaurant. It was a challenge to go inside with a baby stroller. My friend helped me lift the stroller up the steps into the restaurant.Overall, this place made a wonderful first impression on all of us! The food was attractively plated and tasted as good as they looked! I would totally like to come back here to eat!

Here's what I ordered.- Phở $18- Chả Giò(Vietnamese Spring Rolls) $12- Cà Phê Sửa Đá(Vietnamese Iced Coffee) $5Phở, only 1 size bowl available and thought the bowl was on the smaller side. Surprisingly, I was very impressed with how flavourful the broth was and how much meat was in the bowl. I would have liked it if there was hoisin and sriracha sauce on the table as I do enjoy it with a bit more sauce in my pho and on the side to dip the meat in.Chả Giò, it was good but wasn't bad either. One thing I noticed was the fish sauce, it was very syrup like. They probably made a simple syrup and added in the fish sauce; some may prefer the nuoc cham this way, it was good, though definitely not your typical home made nuoc cham by diluting the fish sauce with water and adding sugar, lime juice and chopped thai red chili.Cà Phê Sửa Đá, love me a good Vietnamese iced coffee, so I can't say anything bad about this drink.Price point was a little higher than other Vietnamese restaurant, but overall, food was good and I liked the interior decor.
