We went and ordered 6 croissants, all different flavours this morning and every single croissant was stale and most definitely made one to two days prior. Extremely disappointing for a cafe and a place that prides themselves on their patisseries.

Today, my dad and I ordered a couple of Americanos 'to stay'. Coffee is brought to our table in mugs. There is sugar on every table. I asked barista/server for cream. She told me to go up to counter (which is the 'to go' counter) to get cream. So I take my mug of coffee up to counter after they brought my coffee to me to put cream in it. This felt very odd to me. My dad ended up doing the same thing.I called her over to speak with her. I asked her why and explained to her that was odd to bring our coffee and then not provide cream to our table as well. She became defensive in an arrogant and pompous way. She said that she has never brought cream to tables before. This was a lie because she brought it to the table for me when asked for it a week ago.Side note: one of the other baristas/servers brought cream to the table in a friendly and courteous manner with no problems about a week or two ago before that when my dad and I went there for the first time together (I had been there a couple times before that a long time ago). That time, we ordered coffee and some pastry. The barista/server, he brought out everything to us. We asked for napkins and cream - he brought it all out. He was a good guy.I also pointed out to her that there was cream sitting on another table for a couple of patrons a few tables down from us. The cream for them was sitting in a mini pourer just like what she brought the cream out to me a week ago in. Her response to this was something like 'maybe when they're not busy'. I guess her "busy" includes no one in line to order food or coffee. Because there was no one in line before or after us.This place has a kitchen. They have a menu for food. If we ordered food as well, would she have told us to come up to counter to grab napkins, salt and pepper? Both me and who I was there with had an issue with her service last time I was there as well, even though she brought cream to the table that time. But I won't get into that now.Anyways, the conversation was going nowhere today when I spoke to her about it - calmly I might add. So I ended the conversation with, "You are rubbing me the wrong way. I think we should end this conversation." She said, 'Sure'.Great coffee, though. However, I may never go back there.

Went for brunch. Had to wait 40 minutes before we got someones attention for them to tell us they forgot to put 2 eggs bennys on our tab and that they didn't have the right ingredients for it. We left hungry and disappointed, will not be going there again.

Came here recently for the first time and loved the croissant sandwich and the side salad. I have ordered it a few times since once with side potatoes I definitely prefer the salad the potatoes were fully cooked.

Feels like ownership, or at least the direction of the store, has changed.Edit: Most of the comfortable seating has been replaced. Has a very packed in feel now.Coffee and pastry quality has gone down. The gentlemen, I'm guessing owner, was nice, but the other lady definitely wasn't thrilled to be there.Vibe has changed.

First time I visit Edmonton cityAnd I visit café la Reine ambiance and atmosphere was amazing.Great place to go for coffee! They have a variety of drinks on the menu and desserts. Tried their gluten free cookies as well but let’s just say it was not my cup of tea ?The place did get busy after we were seated and from the looks of it, could be long if you come at a busy time looking for a table.we notice its rush hours and only one staff manage everything ?.

Went here for the first time with my husband for breakfast and a coffee as it’s close to our house. The girl taking orders at the front desk was super blunt and rude not only to us but to the other senior customers in the cafe to the point even my husband was shocked. Our food - beans potatos and egg ontop of the avo toast came out ice cold and the drinks (chai tasted like warmed up milk with zero flavour.) it was almost like they were watered down. Would not go back again. Super cute LOOKING place however if you’re looking for great food and friendly service you might wanna go elsewhere. Would not recommend. Giving this a 2 star review is way more than it deserves tbh.

Visit: February 2024I love how cozy the cafe is, and how aesthetic it is. Its a nice place to relax and chat in. The pastries were alright. We ordered a London fog but they ran out of Earl grey and replaced it with English breakfast, which made it taste weird.. ordered also a hot water, chocolate croissant, and Paris breast. The chocolate croissant is pretty good when heated upI did have an issue though, which I only realized after I left.. I paid around $20 after a 15% tip for the London fog with an extra tea bag, hot water, Paris breast ($4.50), and chocolate croissant. I'm not sure why it costed so much just for those and feel like they had overcharged me, or charged me for the hot water...

We are first time here because of the “Brunch menu “.I saw it on instagram said they have bunch on Saturday and Sunday, so we are here. When we arrived it was 12:45pm, and what we can see is breakfast menu until 12pm and there is no sign to saying brunch menu or breakfast menu until later time.So I m a bit sad to look at the lunch menu, unfortunately nothing I want, I was decide to leave but my bf run to the cashier to ask. Then NOW WE KNOW ITS UNTIL 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.Foods are good, drinks are great. And I think they are half self serve. But I saw there are 2 old ladies, one with wheelchair and the other with crutch. When their order ready, one of the member just walk next to them and tell them their order is ready…. That’s a bit sad.But other than that, place is nice , feel comfortable, foods are good ? drinks are great too.

came here for brunch and ordered a croissant which came with a salad, the croissant was pretty good but the salad sauce was like an apple sauce?? it was quite strange haha. Also my friend ordered a matcha with the quiche and it came with a soup. The matcha came first and it was actually colder than the food. Nothing good to say about the quiche but the soup was pretty good. Probably won't come back, but I guess the cafe itself is pretty.
