Poorly designed, terrible and rude staff. The atmosphere was not there. Had a black coffee and egg soldiers wasn't worth the price and the eggs were terrible. Will not be coming back do better.

I tell everyone I can about this place. The price point is definitely a bit high which has turned off others I've brought with me but honestly, the quality of everything you get from here is WORTH IT. It's not an everyday thing unless you can afford it but if you're a student (like myself) looking for some great, brain-fueling food this is where to find it. I've never once left unsatisfied. When anyone I bring shows me discomfort with the prices I happily grab their bill so they can focus on the fantastic food they had instead. I should also mention I've been working in the industry well over five years, so truthfully it can be difficult to consistently impress me with something like this but they seriously hit the nail on the head everytime. I also hate hollandaise sauce normally but the first time I came in the chef personally came to me to mention that they'd missed the note of no hollandaise/on the side and I didn't even know it was on there. They offered to make it right but I was happy with it the way they intended it and now I get the hollandaise everytime! Keep up the great work! ♡ I'll keep coming whenever I need a benny or want to bring someone special to a nice brunch :)

What a wonderful little spot. Lots of options with friendly service. The food was tasty and fresh. My only (mild) criticism is the hours. It would be nice if they were open a bit later. Otherwise, excellent. Great job Blackbird, keep it up.

It's a beautiful little cafe, with multiple vegan options, be it drinks, appy's, a whole meal or desserts. The staff were all kind and quick at their work. I am very happy to have found somewhere so charming so close to home. My husband and I will be back for afternoon drinks next time!

The food was tasty, the staff are friendly. 1 star lost for being somewhat overpriced. OEB provides more food at a lower price but similar quality. 1 star lost for an overwhelming smell in the cafe. Smells somewhere between chai tea and curry. We left smelling.

Decently priced drinks and food all of which are great and delicious. My only complaint is that while the portion sizes for the food is good, the sit in cup sizes are too small to feed my caffeine addiction. While I am still going to eat and drink there, I will lament that there is no big gulp sized vessels or even a bucket with a silly straw and drink umbrella to drink out of. Staff are nice and professional. the quality of the food and drinks shows that they obviously care about their craft. If I could give more stars I would, and if I good get their coffee in a timmie's take 10 style container with a long enough straw I would.

Cozy yet spacious sun filled cafe, tons of windows and art on each wall- a little bar in the back and a patio outside. They make a mean cappuccino and tasty snacks! I will always recommend cafe blackbird!
Exclusively delicious local food experience!The staff are patient and friendly at the busiest hour as well.The warm and cozy atmosphere in cafe will make you visit them often for sure!!

First, I would like to thank the staff and owners for working so hard to provide the best service they can. This is my favourite neighbourhood cafe and my wife and I have been coming here for a few years now. Every time we come in the staff are so attentive, the coffee is fantastic and the food is even better. It hurts us to have watch the staff work so hard and patiently with difficult customers, in a situation that the business was never in control of in the first place. The pandemic has been difficult for everyone to navigate, with many local businesses closing, and others having struggled to pivot in order to survive. We know that you have done so much in order to keep pushing through. The options that you have available, for those who are vaxxed and un-vaxxed, (By the way the curb-side pick-up is a brilliant idea) continue to show your inclusivity to all. Stay strong Cafe Blackbird team. We will continue to support you in any way that we can.

Will never dine here again.It was our first experience at Cafe Blackbird and now our last. Espresso machine was down when we arrived - fine. We ordered drip coffee. Very mediocre for the arm and a leg they charge. Placed our food order and waited 25 - 30 minutes to be told they accidentally gave our order to someone else that had the same order as us - all the while we watched others that came in after us get their orders. So if they gave our order to someone else, did they not fill the other tables' order to give to us instead? 10 minutes prior to that, a waitress came by and asked if we were waiting for anything, we said yes we're waiting for our food. She said she'd check on that and never returned to tell us what was happening. We eventually went inside to check on our order and were told they were plating our order now. 5 minutes of waiting, we decided to leave and as we were on our way out they told us they made a mistake with our order.Disorganized and unhelpful staff. We walked out and asked for our refund. Did not even give us a full refund. They require that you pay prior to receiving your food, and tipping was done at that time. I tipped them to give us terrible service!
