Stopped and had drinks for the first time during Pride.
Loved the outdoor patio and the live music that day. Didn't have any food but drinks and service was great. Will be back to try the menu.

The waitress took our order and served our drinks before letting us know that the cook had not arrived at work yet and our food order would not be ready for some time. We decided not to order food. Later, it was recommended to visit their sister bar/restaurant, Rocky Mountain Icehouse where they were actually serving food and beers were only $3.50 during their happy hour.
Cask and barrel is my local bar and I will always come back to it. The staff are amazing here and treat you like family. The food is great and the drinks are always good. The patio is lovely on a hot summer day, take advantage of it! :)

Fun spot for a drink. They have lots of patio space if it's nice out. They bring out an extra tv for hockey games. They have couch seating to accommodate many people, but sometimes that space is taken up by live music. Their beer selection was ok. Only a few taps, but also some bottles and cans. Our friends who got the lasagna and grilled chicken said the food was really good. The serving size of the nachos was big and had lots of cheese. Very friendly server, but got a bit tied up during the game.

Disappointing first time at cask & barrel. Quick to be seated - patio is decent. Whats crazy is that it took almost an hour to get a glass of water...my husband had a beer but that also took like 20 mins after order. I noticed a group of 4 who had ordered drinks and shareables prior to us, but the service took so long they left. Their drinks and food came out shortly after that, but the wait was likely not worth it. Not sure if they were short staffed or if its because we were on the patio, but service was a dud. Would not recommend.

What a great spot to watch the game. I overheard it’s under new management and they seem to be killing it

Underrated. Cask and Barrel provides an atmosphere easy to lose your entire evening of plans to. The room is soft lit with a rustic feel, perfect for time with old friends or the new ones you'll make in proximity. The music is always on point, often times live or DJ'd to enhance the vibe. The staff will go out of their way to meet your needs and curate your evening.
And there's Flint!
Overall, The Cask and Barrel is a gem of Downtown, Edmonton. I could go on but I would exceed the max amount of charac-

New favourite hangout spot for my friends and I.
Kimberly is an absolute queen, she puts up with us being annoying and we love her for that 🫶
Great spot in downtown Edmonton. Very friendly/fast service and great drinks. Didn't have any food but smelt great and will definitely be back.
