Restaurant could not handle a pre concert rush. We had to request our check after waiting one hour for main course. Meal was still going to take 15-20 minutes from that point so sadly we only had starters size Cesar salad shared by two people. They didn't charge us for this salad and beverages as a result, however, I was struggling with enjoying my evening concert as I was really hungry.

Noel and Malcom were fantastic! With the abundance of Oiler and Jays fans in the bar far out numbered other fans of MLB. As a Cubs fan they secured my request (if it was possible) to show their game while we dined before the Oiler home opener. We had other patrons who wondered why they changed the channel anyways to the Leafs/Habs game as they would have rather baseball. Great people there and we will be back again. Cheers

Poor experience-not indicative of our normal experience at this restaurant. Drinks were slow. Appies arrived after the main. Kids supper arrived after adults. Total wait time between ordering and arrival of food was well over an hour. Group gratuity was added to bills (not an issue) but we were not notified in advance that a blanket 18% would be added.

Overall we had a great experience at Chop! We were seated upstairs in the dining although we would've loved to be downstairs where more of the excitement was. However food was nice, drinks were great and service was friendly.

The steak selection is fantastic and cooked perfectly to order… the ribeye is juicy and tender and the peppercorn New York strip is rich and flavorful. Classic sides like garlic mashed potatoes and crispy onion rings complement the mains nicely. The menu also features fresh seafood like lobster tails and ahi tuna and there are vegetarian pasta and salad options. Service is attentive and friendly, with servers who check in often and ensure drinks are refilled promptly. Their cocktail program is impressive with creative martinis, an extensive wine list and local craft beers. Desserts like the warm chocolate torte provide a sweet finish. Waiting staff under trained, had a whatever type attitude , nice but had to ask multiple times to get our order correct and mistake still made ,some staff huddled in corner chatting loudly about personal things very distracting , management did come shortly and dispersed them Ordered three different items that were sold out ..at 4pm on a Sunday .. It as our anniversary had notes to write something special on dessert plate ( we told main hostess as well it was our anniversary) nothing happened as far as our request Over heard the table beside us that their waiter forgot to ask how they wanted their steak cooked he had to come back and ask them .....

We come here a lot! Came for drinks and appetizers tonight, and Shilo (at the bar) was fantastic!! Very quick and kind service and incredibly friendly!! Drinks were very good as well. James brought the food out efficiently and was also very kind. Everyone here is always so nice and down for a chat! 10/10 love coming here!

Had such an Amazing experience at chop! The place has such a nice vibe, classy, but still comfortable. The staff were super friendly specifically the manager ,Jessica and our server, Reann, The food was another level, beautifully presented and full of flavor. I especially loved the steak platter, but honesty, everything we tried was delicious. Definitely one of the best dining experiences. I’ve had. Perfect spot for a special night out or if you just want.to treat yourself. Highly recommend!!!

We had our dining experience in a more intimate setting on their private balcony, which made the evening feel so special and personal. The food was absolutely amazing — rich flavors, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The management and the entire team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, treating us with such kindness and care that it felt like we were celebrating with friends. I’ve honestly never experienced service this smooth, friendly, and effortless in Edmonton. Every detail was handled perfectly, and it made the night one I’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion (or just treat yourself to an incredible meal), I can’t recommend Chop downtown enough — I’m already excited to plan my next celebration here!
