Chop Steakhouse & Bar

Very busy on a Saturday night. That said, the service was great - not obtrusive and our server would come by just when we needed something. The steaks were prepared exactly to order and although it was loud, the atmosphere wasn't overbearing. I'd recommend.

Had an absolutely perfect steak, delicious food overall, excellent drinks, very good service, one of our favorite places to go out!

Absolutely excellent meal from start to finish. Laura our server was top notch and did a great job. From appetizers to main everything was great. Will be back to this location. Great job.

Quick and friendly service and the server was very attentive without being intrusive. I had a Caesar salad with a lobster tail and it was so delicious! Then we had an event catered by Chop restaurant at the hotel and the food was amazing. Highly recommend

We had the Butchers block for our anniversary dinner. It was delicious. Was a little short on vegetables, and the mashed potatoes were kinda cold. The steaks were amazing as well as the mushrooms. We finished it with a cream brûlée, always 10/10.

We went on our two year anniversary and they gave us a complimentary dessert and the staff all hand signed a card for us. Server was amazing and definitely recommend

Weekday lunch, enjoyed Steak Bites and the Cajun Chicken Cesar Salad, no cocktails. Would definitely be going back. Friendly & attentive staff.

The ambiance is elegant, the food quality is excellent, and the service is highly professional. Every staff member is passionate and attentive. Overall, it was a delightful experience — definitely worth coming back!

This Chop location was great this time around! My last visit didn’t quite meet expectations, but McKenzie, my waitress, really turned it around. She was so sweet and attentive. I had a special request for my steak and the kitchen came through perfectly. Thank you, McKenzie, for the wonderful service keep up the great work! I’ll definitely be back soon.

Our server Kaitlin was amazing. Attentive but not overly attentive. This was our first time at chop and we were truly amazed how good the food was. We both agreed the best steak we've ever had and cooked to perfection. Bravo chop!!!

We enjoyed our experience here so much I look for Chop restaurants in other cities.

Despite not having a reservation on a busy evening, and with utterly unnecessary apologies, we were seating in less than 10 minutes. The service was excellent, and the food was superb both in flavour and presentation. If I’m back to Edmonton, this is where I’ll be headed for dinner.

The hostess came across as unprofessional. We were left waiting at the front for about 12 minutes before she personally went to check for a table, even though there were many unoccupied ones in the dining area. It didn’t seem like she checked the system right away.

When seated, the appetizer was delivered by someone other than our server, extremely hot, and served without any warning—resulting in us burning our mouths. Our mains were inconsistent: one was fine, but the salmon dish was very disappointing. The portion was unusually small, the salmon was dry, and the glaze (very little) described on the menu lacked the flavor I was expecting.

Paying $45 for such a small, unsatisfying dish felt unreasonable, closer to what I would expect from a $23 fine dining portion. Total for our table was around $150, felt robbed. Unfortunately, this location did not meet our expectations, and while we will visit other Chop locations, we do not plan to return here.
