The cupcakes were delicious and the service as excellent. But my favorite part was the absence of a tipping screen when I paid. That was a breath of fresh air. I ordered a pandan cake 2 weeks ago and at the time I was told it would be $65+ tax. When I picked it up yesterday, I was given the credit card machine and they charge an extra 4% to use credit card. First of all, I was not told there would be a surcharge or else I would have brought cash. Second of all, 4% seems excessive. The cake was okay, but this put a bitter taste in my mouth.
Happy to have tried their cakes at last! Their store is a bit of a drive for me but it was worth it! The cakes by the slice are a good way to sample all the flavors. Chocolate has been my fave as well as their ube slice. Their cupcakes are so good too! Their buttercream icing is not too sweet and their cakes melt in your mouth! Met Auntie Lou herself and she's a lovely lady! You must try this place!
