Went in today. Asked for a raspberry danish. And a ham and cheese bun. Got back to the car and they had given us a scone instead of a danish. My husband ran back in to exchange it, and they gave him the danish. But to his shock they put the scone back into the display for selling!!! When he had touched it when opening the brown bag to see what it was. I couldn’t even eat after seeing that. Cuz who else did they do that with?! Disgusting. Not safe food practice at all. I’d recommend skipping this location. There’s better ones in the city. Yuck. Who ever gets that scone is lucky were clean freaks but the next person might not be so lucky!

I love this place, I come here way too often 😉 The danishes are HUGE and the bread is made with simple ingredients and tastes so good! So much selection, there's rye, high fiber, sourdough, and some sort of seed covered black one. I simply cannot recommend anywhere else for bread. Please do yourself a favor and try some, I promise it's life-changing

I'm soo disappointed! Today was my 3rd visit to this location at 2 hours before close each time and left with no bread or pastries because there was nothing left!!!! I understand that you don't want to have a lot of excess. However, you should have enough to sell to your customers. I drove to the Crestwood location and was able to purchase everything I was looking for! I won't be stopping here again. I don't have the patience to go to two locations and won't be bothered to visit your store.

I genuinely don’t know what we do wrong at this store. We come in at regular hours. We are polite, smiling, and just wanting to bring home some bread. I have no idea the reason my partner and I get the reactions from staff that we do. They are always short with how they speak and act like we are an inconvenience. I’ve worked in customer service long enough that I give people huge breaks. Huge breaks. It takes a lot to actually sign on to Google to leave a review for a place I frequent at least once a week.

Yesterday was honestly the final straw. My partner and I went in to get our usual bread. As the person (receipt said Joseph) went to go cut our bread, we saw a loaf of bread that we decided we wanted (I mean how do you pass up beautiful bread in your face). When they came back with our bread - tell me what this person did a full neck and eye roll - right in front of us - before asking curtly “thick cut too?” When we mentioned grabbing an extra loaf. We both looked at each other like did that just happen? They went off to cut the bread. Upon returning they immediately said “Is there ANYTHING else I can get for you” while looking so inconvenienced. In a perfect world we would walk up and order like the Soup Nazi in Seinfeld, and be done - but guess what. There is a display case in front of us and people make last second decisions - and should be able to do so without you giving the most unprofessional look of your life.

We are pretty sure they caught on that their attitude was atrocious and very politely said “thanks guys have a great day!” Too little too late.

I wish this was the only experience of terrible customer service at this store. We’ve gone to many other Cobs breads in both Alberta and B.C. and have Never been treated like this. Maybe it’s because they are bringing home problems to work. Maybe they don’t like serving gay men. I don’t know. All I know is that was the last time we will go to this store. There are too many other great Cobs stores, with the same bread, that don’t treat their customers like a hindrance.

Please teach your staff about customer service. I couldn’t care less about staff going above and beyond for me. What I care about is you just maybe doing the bare minimum.
