A blast from the past. This diner has been around for 75+ years at this point and delivers a very comfortable and friendly vibe. The mushroom Swiss burger was absolutely amazing. The taste was simple, yet flavourful and the patty was juicy with a crispy outside.
I highly recommend this place for nice lunch.

No frills. Just great food. Pies to die for. And a rare glimpse to the olden times of Edmonton. Best experienced sans mobile phones. Taking in the music and watching life as it happens on Japser Ave.
PS: The servers were amazing. And they take credit card now so no change no worries.

As soon as you step through the door you are transported back in time with its retro booths, wood panelling and friendly staff who greet regulars by name... The menu offers hearty Canadian Chinese classics alongside comforting breakfast staples... I sampled their classic wonton soup, savoury beef and broccoli stir fry and sweet and sour pork... everything was piping hot, flavourful and portion sizes were generous... They also serve all day breakfast so you can enjoy fluffy pancakes, eggs any way and crisp bacon at any time... Service is quick and attentive without feeling rushed and the prices are very reasonable making it easy to bring the whole family... Overall this diner has a warm welcoming atmosphere where the focus is on simple honest food and genuine hospitality that keeps people coming back for decades.
