A blast from the past. This diner has been around for 75+ years at this point and delivers a very comfortable and friendly vibe. The mushroom Swiss burger was absolutely amazing. The taste was simple, yet flavourful and the patty was juicy with a crispy outside.

I highly recommend this place for nice lunch.
There's a reason why the Commodore restaurant has been a round for 75+ years now.

No frills. Just great food. Pies to die for. And a rare glimpse to the olden times of Edmonton. Best experienced sans mobile phones. Taking in the music and watching life as it happens on Japser Ave.

PS: The servers were amazing. And they take credit card now so no change no worries.
Commodore Restaurant is a beloved old school diner that oozes nostalgia... As soon as you step through the door you are transported back in time with its retro booths, wood panelling and friendly staff who greet regulars by name...
