Had the schnitzel with dill sauce with a side of the dill pickle soup. The soup was excellent, could drink a bucket of that. The schnitzel and accoutrements however was unremarkable, not really meeting my expectation for the price. I also had the black forest cake which was far better than I expected.

On 82nd Ave the restaurants are casual for the most part, not at Continental Treat. The wait staff are in black attire, cloth table service and very nice ambiance overall. Our server was great. Went in starving and couldn't finish our lunch. Dill pickle soup unusual and delicious. Schnitzel could be cut with a fork.

Went with a large group of people and the service and meals were excellent. Portion sizes were very large and a few of us had leftovers to take home.

I'm not sure why so many people love this place. I was wildly disappointed with the meal here. I found that the food didn't taste fresh, like 75% of the meal had been made that morning & then reheated as ordered... The dill pickle soup was the only redeeming dish here, but I wouldn't come back just for it. The schnitzel was okay & the sauce was very underwhelming; lacking dimension & salt. There was no salt & pepper at the table & that could have saved our meal... The staff were stoic & professional & running of their feet! Kudos to them! The washrooms didn't have hot running water from the faucet which is concerning... It's an Edmonton institution that I can't seem to understand.

My wife and daughter have Celiac, it is good to know that we can rely on this restaurant without worry about a wrong order made or accidental cross contamination.Dietary restrictions: Completely Gluten free restaurant, and for my wife and daughter that is "not a choice". If you're celiac you will get that reference.

European food to try. There are some delicacies that are hard to find elsewhere. Because they are all big dishes, it takes a while to wait for your meal. The roasted duck leg was delicious, the French escargot was too

The food here is great exceptional. Everyone eats gluten free here, but the tastes are hearty and bursting with flavour. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. My only complaints would be the placement of the bathrooms when you enter, sometimes that's an issue, and the faked my baked camabert was only 1/3 baked and cold and solod in the middle, but other than that, fantastic.Cannot recommend the dill pickle soup enough.I make it a point to stop here whenever I'm in town now. Hands down my favorite dining place in Edmonton.Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free. You need not worry!
