I recently had my wedding at the Muttart (NYE) with Cafe Bloom as the exclusive caterer. The food was amazing and got lots of compliments. Service was also great, and staff was all friendly and attentive. The planning process was also well organized, and responsive and they were able to make adjustments to my needs (we had a few special requests - gluten free meals, early/quick servings due to lots or kids, etc). They were very easy to work with in the planning process. The staff member I had been working with during planning was not available for my wedding due to unforeseen circumstances. The owner (Wade) called me to let me know ahead of time and to assure me he would be taking care of things and he absolutely did. There were a few coordination issues with the Muttart itself (different establishment and team) but Wade and his team were so great to deal with that night and removed some added stress. Wade went above and beyond to help me and my husband with some snacks and milk for my 1 year old. This went a long way to settle a fussy baby between the ceremony and dinner and throughout the night. My daughter was having an off day (of course!) but a simple ask for some cheese and crackers to Wade and within a few minutes I had a beautiful charcuterie board for her. This helped settle her and the rest of the night went smooth, so meant alot. Staff were helpful when we needed milk for her, and always asked if I needed it warmed, and had no problems helping us out. These may seem like small gestures, but made a big difference as it is not easy to have a wedding with a 1 year old.
We also ate at the Cafe a few times during our meetings there and planning process and the food was always great. The restauraunt is quite busy during lunch, but that is understandable- the foods great and they are the only restaursnt there. Great experiences with the food and team all around and would happily use them again!
Great staff but the owner sucks

A very convenient café if you’re hungry or thirsty—it’s right there when you need it. They have an outdoor patio and a pretty decent selection. The atmosphere is cozy, you won’t have to wait long, and the service is quick. On Sundays, they even offer brunch from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Bloom cafe catered our wedding at the Muttart this last summer and absolutely knocked it out of the park. Stefan went above and beyond for us, throughout the entire planning stage, as well as the evening of.
We got to enjoy charcuterie and Prosecco on the patio, they put out a Beautiful display of cured meats and accompaniments, followed by a family style dinner inside. The food exceeded my expectations, also the Plateware they used was really classy and well thought out for sharing.
Hats off to the chef and the bloom cafe crew, thank you for taking such good care of our guests!

What a beautiful place! Such a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious, fresh and made from scratch. They even have frozen home made soups and stuff you can buy and take home. The service is fantastic! They have fun evening date nights even.
We will definitely be back. Go check it out. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend Cafe Bloom!

Notice the manager yelling rudely at employees, made the entire stay uncomfortable and was disgusted by the behavior. The food was nice but I will never be going back

I was really impressed by the service at Café Bloom. The staff members were very knowledgable about the food and provided fantastic suggestions. Truly excellent service!
I absolutely love Cafe Bloom, hidden inside the Muttart Conservatory! The warm and welcoming atmosphere is the perfect complement to the delicious food and drinks. The employees are incredibly friendly, making each visit a pleasant experience. There are plenty of food options, and I love that it’s so kid-friendly, which makes it a great spot for families. Highly recommend if you’re at the Muttart or in the area, it’s right beside Edmonton Ski Club if you are waiting for your kids – it’s truly a gem!

Decided to use the Muttart as a meet up space for a small group of moms with babies, however our business to this establishment seemed like a huge bother. To start off our visit resulted in a restaurant staff plowing through our group of strollers with a garbage can, and an eye roll after bumping into a stroller, as we waited for another mom to gain entrance.
After brushing off that interaction, we continued on visiting the pyramids, then decided to get a drink and snack at the cafe. After being greeted by the same staff member as earlier with an eye roll and a loud huff. Our group was polite to ask if the cafe had a preference of where we sat, or any suggestions on where we sat to eat our snack and drink, they told us there was no room for us, and the previously mentioned staff proceeded to start going and putting reserved signs on tables that were empty. (No one sat at these reserved tables for the duration of our stay) We decided to get our drinks and snacks to go sit outside. While waiting for the rest of the group to order, another table opened up. We sat down and waited for our food and drinks. Once the staff member noticed us to sit down, she proceed to take the already made drink in a to go cup, and dump it in a glass cup as “no disposables are allowed in the cafe” which is understandable due to the city bylaw, however the approach was not necessary. They also were taking food in coolers in disposables already and taking them out and putting them on plates, defeating the purpose of limiting disposables and actually using more when food and drinks weren’t able to be finished.
As mothers on maternity leave with limited funds, and just wanting to provide enrichment to our babies, and get out in community this experience was extremely disappointing, and our business felt highly undervalued. Would not recommend this establishment to individuals with babies, strollers or wheelchairs, and fellow moms in our community as it is not accessible or welcoming.
Kid-friendliness: Will not accommodate babies or strollers. Staff rude towards anyone with children.
Wheelchair accessibility: Navigating cafe and seating not accessible due to space between tables and decor.

Despite the food being a 10/10, I had to sadly give this cafe a poor rating. My friends and I were there with our babies, just a few moms trying to explore the city and immediately upon entering the cafe we were greeted with huffs and puffs by one of the young ladies behind the counter.
I’m not exactly sure if she just hated kids or hated first time mothers but she did not make us feel welcomed at all. Rolled her eyes and despite everyone continuing to ignore her rude gestures she continued to make us feel like our business was not wanted. Sadly for her we bought a yearly pass so we will be there regardless of her. Hopefully the cafe gets friendlier staff.
Kid-friendliness: No room for strollers and rude staff
