This catering company has become Reddit famous on account of the atrocious business practices and incompetency of Diedre. Do your research people this lady scams people HARD!
Terrible no showed bartenders at the wedding I was at and food didn’t come Either heard there was constant lies about why they didn’t show
Food was very good, staff were friendly and price was great, would use again
I have not been here. Google, stop asking!
We had D&H Catering for our wedding, the food was absolutely incredible and our guests continued to compliment us on our menu of food. We had no complaints at all and would highly recommend them for any event in the future. Thank you!!
I loved everything about this catering company!
I have to admit that I was hesitant to go with D and H catering due to some of the reviews. I called to get a price quote and spoke with Holly. I did express my concerns to her and she put me at ease and explained that they were under new management. I called a few other caterers but D and H was the most reasonably priced.Thank you so much for making my wedding a success and helping me pick a menu for the event Holly! Although everything was tasty the guests absolutely loved the meatballs in the mushroom sauce. I look forward to using you in future events!
D and H catering catered my wedding in January and the overall experience was good. Holly was a pleasure to work with. Everything tasted great and they did a great job of catering to the various dietary restrictions of our guests. Thank you again Holly.
I’m looking for caterer for my wife and I anniversary and started reading the reviews. It seems there are a few bad reviews from the same event. As a small business owner, I was quite bothered by this as my bussinesses livelihood relies on the reviews and so much so I’m commenting! Now, I’m not defending D and H catering as I can’t honestly comment on their service but if you had a bad experience leave an honest, unbiased review and ONLY one. However, once multiple people start leaving a review regarding the same event fully aware of the other reviews for the same event, it now isn’t just about leaving an honest review, in my opinion it’s a malicious act.If this was my business, I’d contact google and dispute the multiple bad reviews given for the same event.
Catered my daughters wedding, they were prompt, gave excellent service and the food was very good. Would recommend them

Fantastic!!
We used this company for our wedding reception. The food actually tastes good. Don't get me wrong. That's why I'm giving this review a 3. The power went out for 2 hours or less on my wedding day. So, instead of eating at 5:30pm we ate a little after 8pm. Not ideal, but not much that can be done. We ordered herb crusted tenderloin tips as one of our buffet items. We ended up with something else. Because we paid early, we were supposed to have an appetizer. There was no appetizer. The food was also severely cold. I ordered food for 80 people. I'm glad only about 65 came because there would not have been enough. We were offered a $300 gift certificate as compensation. We asked for a $300 refund instead and have never heard back. I would prefer an answer of no rather than being ignored. Honestly it's what prompted my review. Normally they were very communicative.
Background: D and H Catering catered a meal for a wedding I attended. The meal was brunch and was to consist of a relatively basic menu, including eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, and waffles, along with fruit and vegetable trays and other garnishes. The bride and groom paid for 85 plates.First, the good:Now for the bad: There were slightly fewer than 85 in attendance, approximately 10-15 of whom were children under the age of 10 who ate very little. Now, mediocre food is not enough to elicit a negative online review from me, but poor customer service and failure to even attempt to provide the agreed upon services are, and that is what I witnessed at this event. 16 people (at least) did not eat. ~20 people only had the option of an omelette because the caterer ran out of all other food options. Bacon, sausage, potatoes. They were short on nearly everything. They brought one tray of potatoes. One tray. For 85 people. Not a comically over-sized tray. Just a standard caterers’ tray. Even if your food is sub-par, at the very least make sure you bring enough. As for the food quality, it was not great. It wasn’t awful, but really, how hard is brunch? One thing I will point out is that one of the menu items was waffles. At $25/plate for breakfast I feel as though you could reasonably expect, at the very least, freshly made waffles. What they delivered was a box of Eggos (or some generic equivalent). Nothing against Eggos, but if Cora’s served Eggo waffles straight out of the toaster they would no longer be in business. I unfortunately can’t comment on the quality of the potatoes, bacon, or sausage because I was one of the 18 who only had the option of an omelette. An omelette that I waited nearly 30 minutes for because only one person was manning the omelette station, cooking 1 (sometimes 2) at a time.It should also be mentioned that we were served on paper plates and cleared our own tables. The service provided at the wedding was objectively poor, but it was the handling of the subsequent complaints that really spurred this review. D and H catering was unapologetic for their shortcomings. They fought against any restitution. They accused the attendees of eating too much. They claimed that the paper plate count was an accurate way of determining how many guests were in attendance, as though it was inconceivable that somebody may take more than one paper plate. Simply put, they would not take responsibility for the fact that they did not bring enough food.If you read more reviews on D and H caterers, you will see that this is not the only time they have done something like this. This type of behaviour appears to be a trend. If you are considering hiring them, do your due diligence. Read the reviews. There is a theme. I don't want to see others getting taken for a ride by a less than ethical business. This was brunch, remember. Arguably the easiest meal to cater. If you go on Yelp, be sure to read the filtered reviews. They have a ridiculous 5 star rating, but only because the negative reviews are being filtered out. 9 out of 13 reviews are "not recommended", and therefore not factored into their score.
I am absolutely disgusted with this ‘business’. Firstly her ‘professional’ staff gave my MC the MIDDLE FINGER when he asked how long the food would be because it was over AN HOUR LATE! Deirdre skirts calls after she gets her money. The food was LATE, COLD, tough and not worth what we paid much in advance. Not only were they late, her staff were unprofessional, grumpy and forgot things that we had paid for. Her staff growled at my guests when my guests offered to help clear a table, which I also paid for and they never did. This ‘business’ Is BELOW a one star but that is not an option. She claims she was going to get back to me after she heard from her ‘accounting department’... umm OK. That was over six months ago. My wedding went on fabulously, despite this ridiculous service. Thankfully I had gotten someone else actually amazing to handle desserts. AVOID THIS CATERER LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
