This place is a very convenient location for a coffee, meeting or a bite to eat. There's plenty of seating indoor and out, and the service and food never disappoints.

Italian on a gluten-free bun is the best sandwich I've found in the city. 🥰

The home made Granola is excellent and great coffee too. The pastries and bagels in the cabinet look really good so we have bought some to take away. Lovely staff and fast service. Free wifi is easy and fast to connect.

Experienced poor service both in the morning and afternoon, with no acknowledgment or a “I’ll be right with you”. Apparently waiting in line doesn’t mean anything you have to get in their face.
My first time here (takeout) was in the afternoon and so obviously there was less selection of baked goods but I got a peach danish and a scone-the danish was greasy and the scone just tasted of baking soda.
The second time was in the morning, so I went with a somewhat normal looking kouign-amann instead of the croissants which appeared old. Should have just walked out or gotten a sandwich because the kouign-amann was quite bad and lacked the most distinctive aspect, a caramelized crust! Just remove it from your menu if you can’t make it…
Aside from the food, it is an “upscale” cafe atmosphere with bench seating along one wall and some high top tables in the back. It seems to be consistently busy but I won’t be back, there are better bakeries and coffee in my opinion.

Not impressed with the cultural appropriation of calling a sandwich that isn't a Cubano in the slightest a Cubano. But what do I know? I'm just a silly Cuban from the place where Cuban sandwiches originate from.

Orders for drinks and food took a long time. Expect a 20 minute wait to get a sandwich.

This place was recommended to me by somebody and I have a tree nut allergy so I called in to see if they can accommodate. I was told they rarely have any nuts and it would be perfectly fine. So I walked 30 minutes from my hotel only to be greeted by a menu with nuts and pastries on display with nuts, specifically almonds. Safe to say I did not eat here and left extremely disappointed and hungry.
Over all great coffee and food, compared to other local coffee shops downtown I find district pricey for how much business comes through the door. I really wanted to make district my new go to but I think the biggest disappointment was the customer service. Over the past two months iv came several times. Keoh, (manager) remembered my name, always has amazing customer service! The only two other people I found give great service were Anneke and the older woman with red hair. From everyone else I almost didn’t feel welcome, it was just very cut and dry service. My worse experience, after seeing a child accidentally getting burned from hot coffee, that staff were attentive, but I have Lifeguard training and had went to make a helpful suggestion to get some burn jell from there kitchen, just to be barked at by the barista (person with orange glasses) in a rude manner that “they asked the family already” and that “ the situation was under control “. Lastly to today I thought I’d give them one last shot. But was disappointed again, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a glass of Ice water. When I asked for the ice water the young woman behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy, then it was only like 810 am there was no one in line and they were not busy and it to about 10 minutes for me to get my bagel and it was warm, not even really toasted. I really wanted like district but at the end of the day it was very lack Lester.
Other notes
- There front door dose not have a handicap button and is difficult for those with mobility issues to enter
- a warning that there is no air conditioning at the moment and the cafe gets very warm!

I ordered a scone realized it was the wrong one. It was fixed up, but the girl took the sign out put it in my face and told me ‘ Next time read the signs’, very rude and embarrassing since there are a lot people here around 730 am
A shitty experience for someone new here

Food and service here are always great! As a tea drinker, I appreciate that they serve tea from locally owned Acquired Taste Tea Company. I wish their tea selection was a bit broader (Golden Chai from is my favourite!). Pastries are definitely a highlight and I live to grab a mid morning treat when I’m working downtown.
Visited here recently and purchased lunch!
I’m celiac and they can make the sandwiches on GF buns! Was delicious.
Fast friendly service!
