Expensive for the quality and quantity
We went out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. They comfortably accommodated our group of six, and when the server learned it was a birthday celebration, they provided some special food and drinks to make it memorable. Of course, all the dishes we ordered were delicious, and the side dishes seemed impeccably prepared. The galbitang, which is only available on weekends, was incredibly flavorful and generous.
We celebrated my wife's birthday with a wonderful dinner out. The restaurant easily set up a comfortable and spacious area for our group of six. Our server, realizing it was a birthday, surprised us with some special treats and drinks, which really made the celebration feel unique. Beyond that, all of our ordered meals were delicious, and the side dishes looked perfectly presented. The weekend-exclusive galbitang was a true highlight—so flavorful and generously portioned!
The staff here is absolutely amazing, friendly, and attentive! Every dish was so flavorful and had a reasonable portion.
Highly recommend this place if you're look for good Korean food in Edmonton
I had a wonderful experience at Dookbaeki! The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in and were always quick to respond to any requests. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our meal. I’ll definitely be coming back — not only for the delicious food but also for the excellent service!
One of the server is racist, we’ve been here many times, every time the server give us yakult while we pay, but today one of the server didn’t give us, but gave others! And when we asked for it, she’s like oh it’s for people who tip, but we both tipped …. Very unacceptable… will not be back. Customer service needs to be improve
Despite how busy it was, the staff remained incredibly kind and professional. Thanks to their quick and efficient service, we didn’t have to wait long for our food, which was also absolutely delicious. I was especially impressed by the two staff members working in the dining area — they handled everything so quickly and smoothly. Truly impressive service!!!
This ttukbaegi spot is always a win. Seriously legit. The gukbap, especially the sundae gukbap, tastes just like home—super rich broth and lots of meat. The kimchi and kkakdugi are amazing too. Staff is always nice and the service is on point.
Food is good ,but person at the phone was extremely unpleasant and hung up on me .Zero manners and politeness. After all this is not acceptable to treat customers who just ask few questions
This is the first time we tried authentic Korean food and I’m so in love. Food portions were huge, full of flavors and yummy . If you can’t eat spicy food question about the spice level percentage. We will definitely return.

Everything about this place feels authentic, from the atmosphere to the food itself. Short ribs were tender and juicy, with just the right balance of sweetness and char. The staff was super friendly and attentive, happy to walk us through the menu and even gave us tips on how to enjoy everything Korean-style. The vibe was cozy and traditional, perfect for a casual night out or even a low-key date.
Honestly, I wanted to try everything on the menu. Highly, highly recommended!
Very good Korean food 👍
Dookbaeki is a hidden gem in the south, offering an authentic Korean dining experience. It’s tucked away in a convenient location with ample parking, and the interior is spacious and well-organized, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal.
The service here is outstanding—the staff are friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. Everything about this place feels genuinely Korean, from the atmosphere to the food itself. We’ve tried the Oyster Soontubu, Sogogi Dolsot Bibimbap, and Donkatsu, and each dish was unique and absolutely delicious. I’ve never had anything quite like them before!
The portions are generous for the price, making it a great value. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu. Highly recommended!
Terrible service, especially the young lady at the front counter, she was trying to chase the customer away. Would not recommend.
At first, we told them we wanted separate bills for each person’s order but the lady just added all of it and just split the bill into three. We didn’t really mind it anymore because we don’t want to make it too complicated but I saw that they charged us with gratuity (15%) even though there’s only three of us. I told the old lady about it so she called the younger woman to talk to us. She told us, “someone accidentally clicked the gratuity but it’s okay you can just skip the tip and pay for it”. She knew that we were being charged with it, so why didn’t she told us in the first place about it? The woman told us they cannot cancel the transaction anymore because of their system. I told her that I want to put the tip myself so why should I pay for the gratuity when there’s only three of us. Mind you the gratuity was a lot because we ordered 5 dishes. I told her to just cancel the transaction and we could start again. My friend asked her if the tip would be mandatory when we pay if the gratuity wasn’t included and she was like “why are you making it so complicated”. I felt that comment was very rude when we weren’t even the one who made the mistake in the first place. In the end, we just paid the orders and she refunded us the gratuity because we weren’t reaching any compromise. There was no apologies made.
