I never in my life would take the time to make a google review but for this place I need to. I went here for a quick lunch with my girlfriend, and I have to say that the nice filipino man who was at the cashier is a great person. While eating I would catch glimpses of him just working so hard and with such a sort of good energy. I wanted to give him a tip but I had no cash on me so I figured to just write this review. If any manager sees this he definitely deserves a raise and I hope the best for him.

This restaurant requires delivery couriers to bring their personal thermal bags inside the store in order to pick up orders. This demand is improper and unacceptable. Uber couriers are independent contractors, not restaurant employees. A thermal bag is personal property, purchased and maintained at the courier’s own expense. The restaurant has no legal or contractual authority to require the use of third-party personal equipment to support its own business operations. Responsibility for proper packaging and food temperature before handoff lies entirely with the restaurant. If heat retention is a concern, the restaurant must either: use proper packaging, or provide its own insulated equipment. Expecting couriers to invest their own money to reduce restaurant operating costs is unprofessional. Couriers are not employees, investors, or equipment suppliers. This practice should be discontinued.

My husband and I ordered a bento box with teriyaki chicken. There was NO chicken in the teriyaki chicken. It consisted of broccoli, mushrooms, and cabbage. We didn’t have time to take it back but will not go to that Edo restaurant ever again. Disgusting!!

Note: this is one of those Edo locations that often HEAVILY waters down their teriyaki sauce. The atmosphere and dining area is nice otherwise. Just be forewarned you'll be getting what is essentially teriyaki flavored water poured on your meal instead of sauce, which kinda ruins an otherwise tasty meal. This happens about half the time I go to this particular location.

Today I ordered as usual an sukiyaki beef and paid for double the beef. This is the third time in a roll that I don't get the beef doubled just the regular, from now on I will order from another store.

Went to the Windermere location for the first time with my husband for a late lunch. It was an absolute awesome experience! The staff were very patient with our questions. The whole place was extremely clean and the staff were constantly cleaning in between orders. The food was outstanding! The portion sizes were great, unlike most restaurants these days. The taste was fabulous and everything was hot & fresh! We have only lived in Edmonton for just over a year and we both agreed that Edo Japan is now our favourite restaurant! Keep up the great work! The management should be proud of the staff they have! Will definitely be back again!
