Went tenpin bowling here with some friends, and we all had an amazing time! It was such a fun change from our usual outings and everyone kept saying how different and exciting it was. The lanes were well-maintained, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Whether you’re a pro or just there for fun (like us), it’s a great spot to hang out, have some laughs, and enjoy a game. Definitely recommend for a night out with friends or even a casual date idea. We’ll be back for sure!
$75/h to bowl? GTFO.
It is nice that when you walk up to the counter and all the lanes are busy that they will take your phone number and give you a call when your lane is ready. After they call you have 15 minutes to get back up there so you can go to the Food Court below and get something to eat.
The odd part of the system is that after having been called, yoh still have go back in the main line again. If they call you they should be diverting you away from the main line instead of putting you in the main line again.
The shoe rentals run smoothly and the main bowling 🎳 area is cool with the dark main lighting and the neon mood lights.
The lanes themselves are in decent shape, but the ball distribution system is a bit chaotic. It would be much better to have a central place to select the appropriate 10 pin ball instead of having them at the various lanes.
1 of our lanes' computers were glitching a bit with the scorekeeping which is ok for when kids are bowling for fun, but would be problematic if you were having a more serious game.
All in all it is a fun place to come with a group of friends and get away from shopping in the mall.
We are extremely disappointed, we waited 4hrs for bowling, we sat at a restaurant waiting for a phone call that never came. They told us to come at 8:30 exactly 2 hours after we missed the first attempt, We came earlier at 8:15 because we didn't receive a phone call just to be told that they had tried calling and no one answered, we showed them that we had not received any calls and sudjusted that maybe they dialed the number wrong, however they didn't care, told us it's out of their control and told us we would have to wait again. We spoke to the manager ( with the nose ring), she was very rude and unapologetic. This night which was very special turned out to be a Complete waist of our evening. Very disappointed. We had 3 very sad kids. We have an early morning the next day so the entire night was ruined.
Showed up on Saturday night without reservations (yes I know) we were added to a wait list and given a wait time of 1 hour. We waited around for over an hour, noticed 14 out of the 28 lanes were not being used, asked at the front desk again and they said "the lanes were down, and we were looking at another 45 minutes" all the lane magically fixed themselves and were all being used by the time we got a lane after nearly 2 hours of waiting. I'm guessing they wouldn't open the lanes, and lied about them being down to draw people in for the arcade, bar and billiards to spend more money while you wait.
I had booked a couple of lanes in the kingpin room for my niece's birthday in the fall at the weekend rate of $50/lane. I went to book for my son's birthday next month and the rate is now $75/hr. That's a 50% increase!! Insane! And shoes aren't and were never included. That was also $3/pair at one point, and now $5/pair. Most definitely hosting my party elsewhere.
DON'T RESERVE AT THIS PLACE. SCAMMERS!!! We had reserved 2 lanes for an event. Some people couldnt make it because of family issues. They were given a week in advance that we need to cut down to 1 lane. They wouldn't refund us the 1 lane and tried to give us a 'credit' BUT it there is a time limit to use it within otherwise they will take away your credit. Essentially they are STEALING from you if you book anything here. I will be looking into a way to ESCALATE matters to get my money back but A WARNING TO EVERYONE to not book anything at this location.
I will be telling all my friends, family, business network, etc. to stay away.
Everything about this place has gone downhill... service, lanes, food, etc.
The Alien Escape Room looks tired and dated in need of a refresh. Puzzles were broken and clearly not taken care of. Not worth the price of $25/person. Other escape rooms in the city are not falling apart like this one. The puzzle itself was ok, not the best but not the worst in the city. Spend the money if you've done all the other ones already.
Helicopter helicopters party.
Ngl I suck bottoms.

Very poor experience... Staff at front desk completely use less they said everything was booked when it wasn't ... They were just being lazy .. we went back three hours later and different members told us there were lanes available at the time we first came ... Very confusing... Unprofessional ..don't waste your time

The wife and I was a little hungry and we wanted a quite place to eat. We decided on eating at Ed bowling. So we order the platter selection and I tell you everything on the platter except the French fries was over cooked. So I'll tell you what was on this plate. It was two chicken wings, two spring rolls, two spears wedges, hand full of onion rings, and a half hand full of french fries. So I have you a rating of two on the food alone.
A fun bowling alley with good table service if you want to get food and drinks. The dark glow of the site is also pretty cool.
Tip: My family and I came here because admission was included as part of our two-day mall pass. If we didn't get the pass, however, we likely would not have come as we found the regular prices a bit steep. If you want to bowl here, you may want to consider doing so as part of a group of West Edmonton Mall activities, which you can pay as part of a pass.
I was planning a group event and pre-booked two lanes prior to knowing how many attendees we would have. I specifically asked if we could cancel one of the lanes of our group ended up being smaller and was told “yes”. When I called to cancel the extra lane prior to the event, I was told I would only receive a credit and not a refund. I was VERY disappointed that the original information was not honoured. We won’t be back for future group events.
I play this bowling alley during 2010's. I play for 30 minutes to see how fast I can finish for 1 game. It took me 15 minutes to finish a game but half of perfect score. Plus, I ordered 1 jug of coke after done bowling. It was fun.
Note: It is same company as Newplay Arcade.
ED’S KARAOKE:
Music selection: 3.5/5
Overall
It was really fun, and we like that songs are up-to-date, although selection is a little limited. Karaoke is really popular to Filipinos such as myself, but the karaoke machine didn’t seem to have any Filipino music. Food selection was pretty good and they had soju cocktails. Price is understandable since the rooms are probably all same sizes, but it’s a little expensive if there’s less than 5 people using the room. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.
