First time dining at El Corazon. Came for an early supper. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Friendly greeting at door and knowledgeable server, Raquel. She explained the menu and made recommendations plus she explained the difference between Mexican and Latin American cuisine which we had never had before. We were both very happy with what we ordered. We started with their delicious homemade corn and plantain chips + chunky fresh pico salsa, perfect seasoned, homemade and it was very fresh. Main course for me was blackened chicken tacos with mango salsa- loved the subtle blend of flavors + avocado etc, delicious, satisfying, not too heavy. My husband is picky about steak and was not disappointed by the seasoning of the flank steak (more than he could eat and done exactly how he likes it medium rare) perfectly paired with crispy, interesting yuca frite (fries). Perfect date night.

We reserved a table for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was quite busy, the staff were friendly, welcoming. The staff seemed to communicate excellently with each other and navigate the busy evening very well. Our server Riley was great at recommending items and was very attentive while being busy with multiple tables.

The drinks were tasty, I highly recommend the Cadillac margarita. The food came out quick and we overall really enjoyed the food and will return.
However, we felt the pollo asada (grilled chicken) needed a little more seasoning or should have been served with a sauce/salsa, for our taste buds we found it a little bland. The flank steak was good as well, but we felt the cut of meat was a bit chewy and they could have been more generous with the chimichurri sauce. With those small improvements we certainly give the food 5 stars!

This was my first time at El Corazon and we had a great time. The drink menu and especially the tequila selection was impressive. I loved that you could get a pitcher of specialty margaritas but do wish that there was a classic margarita option in the pitchers offerings. We started with some tapas and had the guac and chips, spicy jalepeno hummus, chorizo vino tinito, and tequenos. We enjoyed all of them. For my main I had the deconstructed burrito bowl which was delightful and we shared some churros for dessert that were perfection.
The service was great. They even surprised us with a free shot. Perfect girls night out spot.

Went here for my birthday, girlfriend got food poisoning for the blackened bass. Will not be removing the review until they reach out and conduct an investigation into what happened.

We booked my daughter’s 25th birthday dinner at El Corazon, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The service was incredibly slow, and our meals were not delivered at the same time—one member of our group didn’t receive her food until everyone else had already finished eating. We were informed that an automatic gratuity would be added to our bills due to the size of our party. However, after some of our guests paid and left, they were stopped at the door and told the gratuity hadn’t been added and asked for paymentcreating confusion. On top of that, I was not allowed to see an itemized copy of my bill before paying, which is something I have never encountered at a restaurant before. They also couldn’t combine my daughter’s bill with mine, forcing me to make two separate transactions. The food was just okay—not enough to make up for the poor service and disorganized payment process. Overall, we left very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

The meals I tried were horrible. The first dish I ordered was the Mezcal Prawn Ceviche which I had to return. This is not my typical behaviour and have never returned a dish no matter the interesting tastes. Then I ordered the Ancho Chicken and Churros. The churros were a delight but the chicken, which is majority of the plate, was unseasoned for me and my other 3 friends who ordered the same dish. Other than the sweetness provided by the sauce for the churros, the meat was unbelievably bland.

One of my go to restaurant choices in Edmonton. Great food, reasonable prices and outstanding service. Lunch options are great and it gives everyone a chance to escape the mundane lunch experience.

What can I say…..

Imagine you jumped on a flight to Mexico and landed in the most dazzling adventure of peppers and whipped cream. I would highly recommend escaping to the Mexico of Edmonton.

This is a latin-inspired restaurant for people who don't like Latino food. Small portions with underwhelming flavour. It feels like they heard of a popular dish, then came up with their own spin on it without ever having tasted the original. Blah, pass

Service was exceptional 5/5, tacos had great flavor, we had to send tacos back cause they just werent hot, meat was kinda on the luke warm side. Then add salsa, and your consistantly left with a cold tacos. They were great about the send back, and feedback. price point was a bit off, 3 tacos for 24$, that's 8$ per🫣 I ate 3 tacos and burger, went to McDonald's after cause I was still starved and the tacos were on the small side. It's definitely not a place i would go alot, once was enough for me, it's pricey here. But with inflation I understand, we're all feeling the hit these days.

Parking: Under construction in the are to the restaurant, can't hold it against them. There is still ample parking and free.
