When we arrived on time for our reservation at 5:00 we were told they had a reservation in an hour and a half which led us to think they really didn't want us there. Our appetizers were fine, we had ordered the guacamole and it was a small portion. Our mains were a disappointment. One individual ordered the carne asada with mole, the steak was supposed to be a striploin, it was a very tough cut with lots of grissel throughout. It was obvious this wasn't the intended cut, it was more like a lower grade sirloin. Two of us ordered the Tosajo Asado; the flavors were good but our steak strips were cold on both. We did let our server and they offered a complimentary dessert and when we turned that down credited our bill the equivalent. We were a bit disappointed that although the manager greeted us at the door he didn't handle our complaint personally.
Very enjoyable experience. Cocktails were great! Lots of Mezcal on the drink menu, but if that's not your thing the bartender was extremely accommodating. We weren't familiar with Oaxacan food, but our server was extremely helpful and we had an excellent meal. Highly recommend the Smoked Esquites dip. The food here is quite different from ‘normal' Mexican food, but we really enjoyed the experience. Service was outstanding. We'll be back!
Our first time there and choose it because of the reviews. We had the worst service ever and the food was over priced for what we got. Our waiter seemed more concerned with having a conversation with the bartender rather than tending to the patrons in his area. Will definitely not be coming back!
Sadly Chicken was cold , but they comped our drinks , menu difficult to read , but dessert was delicious
We dined at El Jardin before a concert. The staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the authentic Mexican food, it was different than anything we'd tried before in Edmonton. The churros were a highlight. The chocolate sauce was heavenly.
Decent experience. Love the flavor but nothing really stood out for me to come back or suggest it to my friends.
The duck dish my favourite👌🏼

All the food was had was shared between 4 of us. The recommendations by our server were great and the food was fantastic.
Excellent food, a cozy and relaxing ambiance and a very attentive and nice waiter, Nathan, who took good care of us. We had the guacamole and chips and the Pollo con Mole Negro. The chicken was cooked perfectly and as good as any that I have had in Mexico. We will be back!

Loved the food, the drinks and the Vibe!
We started with the Sokol P'aak deal Casa which was insanely good! We actually ended up getting a second one.
We then got the Lamb Birria Tacos, which were good, and the Al Pastor which were very delicious! 10/10 recommend the Al Pastor (Pork & Pineapple) The bar folk were cool and made my wife something with Vodka because she hates Tequila. I had the El Taquero and I really enjoyed it.
We finished our meal by grabbing the Smoked Esquites with Chintextle.. Also incredible. So good, so flavourful. We'll be back!!

We came for dinner and had the empanada and the tasajo asado and both had great flavor. Plate sizes were perfect and a great value for the meal too. Our bill only came to $56 (including one cocktail) Will be back for sure!

Authentic, fresh ingredients, reasonable and great staff. Mescal are featured. But your fave margarita can be ordered. Try the Birria tacos. Not easy to make at home and they nail it. Esquites. Perfect Appie recommendation. My comparison is good Mexican food in southern states and I believe this place competes easily.

We made reservations for 6:30pm so we could make an 8pm show across the street at Rogers Place. Arrived at 6:15 and were immediately seated. 6:45 we got up and left. No water, no waiter/waitress, no one for for 30 minutes. Went next door to Baiju, and had an incredible meal with great service. Zero chance El Jardin makes it when 3 wait staff play on their phones in front of a large table group and can't handle the rest of the restaurant. Too bad because the menu looked good...just didn't get a chance to enjoy it.
