Downtown dining week in Edmonton has been a success so far. Dinner at Envie was overall quite good.
The crab cakes were a bit disappointing. They were overcooked and quite dry around the edges. The crabmeat had the texture of a tuna salad sandwich; there were no lumps of crab meat at all. The flavour was good and the mango salsa was fantastic.
The macaroni and cheese was quite creamy and contained plenty of cheese but it lacked seasoning.
