If you are looking for a delicious and creative fine dining experience at a reasonable price we would highly recommend this spot. I think this was about my 10th time at your restaurant during the September to June season. I love taking people there on their birthdays, which was what the event was yesterday. We all had the salmon dish, which was fantastic and Katie was our server and although she was new, she was doing an amazing job. Spencer, the chef, came to visit our table towards the end of our meal to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction, which was a very nice touch.

Our 2nd time at Ernest's, first for lunch. Again, it was a wonderful experience. The creativity in food preparation, combinations of foods, and quality is excellent. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert, as well as wine. All were totally enjoyable. What I did miss, and this may be the difference between going for dinner and going for lunch, was having the culinary arts students come to the table, to "show off" and discuss their creations. I think Ernest's is a hidden gem, offering wonderful food options at exceptional prices. I look forward to returning soon.

We were lucky to have Garreth as our server—his warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism made us feel right at home. His hospitality is truly top-notch.
We began with the patatas bravas and the tomato stracciatella salad, both of which were absolutely outstanding. Each bite was vibrant and full of character. For our entrées, we enjoyed the market fish—perfectly cooked salmon in a rich, flavorful lobster broth—and the mushroom toast, served with a silky mushroom parfait on the side. Every dish was beautifully presented and executed with care.
Everything from the service to the food was top-tier. Ernest is a gem in Edmonton, and we’ll definitely be back.
