Amazing experience for the amount of money we paid. Service was outstanding. Food was good.

Ernest is an amazing opportunity to experience, fine dining and classic customer service as it is run by the students and their instructors. From the food to plating to reservations, they learn all aspects of the culinary experience. If you haven't had an opportunity to check it out definitely book it, and you will find truly high-quality food for a very reasonable price. Remember, they are students and depending on when you go you may be week one of their program or week five of their program so be kind and patient. Enjoy the experience.

My friend and I celebrated our birthdays there and we absolutely loved the experience! The food and drinks were amazing. I had their featured entree and I'm still thinking about how delicious the duck was. And for a mocktails, I didn't know an espresso martini could taste so refreshing! The staff and manager were so kind, personable, and down to earth. They truly elevated an already wonderful experience!

Service was a bit slow, though we appreciated the effort our server put in. Unfortunately, the food fell short—lacking in flavor and feeling more experimental than balanced, almost like a banquet-style meal. I'd also suggest dimming the lights to create a warmer, more inviting atmosphere.

Thank you for the service and very nice dinner. The choice of the menu is yours and it is very important to teach the new generation the codes of the service.

The service was exceptional by JP. He carefully explained everything and enquired about any allergies. The food was amazing as usual. Perfect!

What amazing food and our server Aaron was outstanding. Would definitely recommend for a quiet dressing up occasion with amazing and unique food.

The food was excellent and we enjoyed our lunch. We are always surprised by how many people we encounter who have never dined here or for that matter never heard of Ernest's. If you are looking for a delicious and creative fine dining experience at a reasonable price we would highly recommend this spot. A bonus is that you are supporting the advancement of the culinary training of future chefs. It's a win win.

I think this was about my 10th time at your restaurant during the September to June season. I love taking people there on their birthdays, which was what the event was yesterday. We all had the salmon dish, which was fantastic and Katie was our server and although she was new, she was doing an amazing job. Spencer, the chef, came to visit our table towards the end of our meal to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction, which was a very nice touch.

The food was fantastic and very affordable! The service was a little bit slow [I think they may have forgot our table] but the server was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend and go back.

We had a truly wonderful lunch experience at Ernest at NAIT with my family, who had just flown in all the way from Hong Kong. Every dish we tried was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious — from start to finish, the culinary quality really impressed us. What made the visit even more special was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, warm, and professional — truly a level above the rest.

It was also meaningful for my family to discover that Ernest is part of NAIT’s hospitality program. The experience reminded us of the high standards of professional hospitality education, much like what we’d expect from institutions like Hong Kong Polytechnic University. A fantastic introduction for my family to both Alberta’s local food scene and the excellence of NAIT’s training. We’ll definitely be recommending Ernest to others!
